So you don't have to pay so soon. You can keep your funds in FD earning interest first. After all, it is not like you will have to pay more to the bank later on.

Alternatively, use your HSBC credit card more and do a BT to DA. DA offer a longer interest free repayment period after all  smile.gif

Maybank Card & Amex is offering the longest interest free BT program. 0% for 12 mths. icon_idea.gif

i'm not sure if this is a silly question, but i'm going to ask anyway, is it possible to do partial BT? Eg: i have an installment plan with hsbc for my iphone which i intend to continue, so say tomorrow i go swipe 10k, issit possible to just BT that 10k (without touching my iphone installment) to say AMEX?
*
Existing installment plan cannot do BT to another card while the new transaction as you mentioned going to swipe 10k tomorrow can be BT to another card (for new transaction, must wait it appear on the statement b4 apply for BT). This is not consider partial BT.

Partial BT eg:
Any existing outstanding balance without installment plan = RM25000
Apply BT to another card = RM15000
Balance outstanding on existing card = RM10000

Full BT eg:
Any existing outstanding balance without installment plan = RM25000
Apply BT to another card = RM25000
Balance outstanding on existing card = RM0

Hope that this will answer your question... icon_idea.gif
P/S: Amex & Maybank CC is offering the best BT in town. 0% for 12mths.

FD interest is not much also!

I don't think so.....Let's say if BT of RM30000 (eg: a Platinum cc) to another card & use the money to deposit to FD & enjoy up to 3.3% interest (latest offer from Affin bank), that will be an income of RM990 per year (at least min RM448 after paying RM2500 every month x 12) by just keep on paying 12 installment on time to the other bank. Just a simple job with an attractive income that might help you to pay off your car yearly insurance premium... rclxm9.gif
And what about if you BT 2 or 3 cards....huh! rclxub.gif

Guys,

I wanna ask. I might put myself into a deep trouble when I asking this question.

My family urgently need RM2k cash to pay my brother & sister schooling fee plus the others thing. I was think how the heck I gonna get RM2k cash for them except the cash advance from my credit card.

I aware of daily interest and also the withdraw fee at ATM. My dad told me he can pay me RM 600 every month and he said he willing to pay the daily interest fee and withdraw fee. In my mind was thinking, shall I go withdraw and help them ? sad.gif

About your question whether should help them or not, it's based on your family relationship & your own thinking. Nobody can answer that.

BUT, if you ask how to help them, then this is my opinion to you:
1) Cash advance from ATM.
2) After the transaction appear on the statement, then do a Balance Transfer to another card to save interest on it.
(You may look for any bank that offer 0% BT to save more)

Hopes, this will answer your question... whistling.gif

HLB call for cash is indeed an excellent product which has been receiving great response. OK OK, silence.:-P
FYI,interest charge of HLB call for cash is calculated on daily basis.

So, the best is Call for Cash at HLB (save cash advance fee) & then apply for BT to another card that offer 0% (save on interest), Yeah... rclxms.gif thumbup.gif rclxm9.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Mine is Alliance Platinum Debit Card for Alliance Personal. It is different from the generic Alliance Platinum Debit Card. For Alliance Personal customers, a minimum deposit of RM50,000 must be maintained or else a RM35 monthly maintenance fee will be charged. The annual fee is RM12.

Is your Plat Debit card comes with your name embossed on it?
