yeah, and they updated the website it looks a lot like the US site now. maybe someone just forgot to add the new MLK when they upgraded.

use these links: 3299 RM http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/con...model_id=xps-15

3699 RM http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/con...model_id=xps-15

Best of luck! there's a 3 to 4 week delay, when I last checked and they replaced the "XPS 15 MLK" with "NEW XPS 15".

using the xps 14 for some days now (before I return it).

played the following games:

team fortress 2 (high setting)
sims 3 (high setting)
starcraft 2 (ultra)
world of warcraft (ultra)

I can say performance is pretty decent. for sc2 i didn't feel any lag although i should have looked at the framerates (got no fraps). For WoW, in ultra settings and in sholazar basin the frame rates hover around 30fps.

If only the price of the XPS 14 and the new XPS 15 weren't that so near to each other (at least for the one I bought) and if only Dell hasn't discontinued the XPS 14, I wouldn't have chosen to return it. and if only dell hadn't taken so long to deliver it to me. hahaha

Nice. I'm using a Cooler Master too, but it's an old X-Mini I had from my previous laptop. My XPS 15 is like a table on a book on this, LOL.

What is that N sticker beside the Intel sticker?

thanks for ya reply.

i dont mind the screen size. since ive been using a 12" all these while :-)
portability is more important for me.

i have checked out the new XPS15 but compare to the 14, i find the 14 has better specs. 14 has i7 Quads.
if i need bigger screen, i still have to the option to plug into a big LED. right: =D

if you refer to the last page of this thread, you'll find the link to XPS15 2nd gen i7 smile.gif
i already compared and configurated the lappy many times. and, there's no quads core option.
but i like the option to better screen which XPS14 dont have.

haha lee,

looks like you;ve edited your post. yup that;s the link. tongue.gif

-------------------------

lee,

since you mention it's better. can u explain to me how better it is? coz i cant understand based on the version number.

but i bet, any of them is still better than my AMD Athlon x2 processor, it's so damn hot. fried my mobo few times liao.

SB processor is at least 15-20% better in terms of CPU performance than the first generation, better power consumption (meaning longer battery life and lower temp)..e.g. i7-2630QM, the Q means Quad core...

i realized some of the things changed on dell website. the XPS14 dont have RAM option liao, straight away get 8GB RAM. hmm.gif

The entry level CPU 2nd gen i7 is faster than top CPU 1st gen i7 in stock clocks (not including overclocks) for much less cost...
