Hmm... Those pics are what i wanted to look at! The version can also be seen from the sticker on the box. That makes my life easier. Anyway, thanks for ur effort! I'm still at the stage of surveying! I can only consider to replace DIR-615 or not after all my housemates tested it. There's 8 of us so the wifi is really important. It must be stable enough to provide connection to 8 laptops at the same time.

100% a NO. Even though I still don't learn to config it but from what I read in this forum, it's a NO. Read first page and guides from http://unifi.athena.my/ to set up ur own router. There are few methods to set up using your own router. Read it page to page. That's all I can help.

Where's F, where are you and could you draw that out? If I understand correctly you have two networks :

1) One Unifi network
2) Another office network

And you want to be able to access both of them from a single PC? Do you have cabling between the D and E offices or does it have to be purely wireless?
*
Well, its like this

Office A is using Unifi with Mikrotik Router
Office B is using Streamyx with ISA Server (DHCP Release)

Office A and B is connect via Wireless

I'm not familiar with Mikrotik setting,

Office A while able to use wireless, still able to access Office B network via wireless.

I try create vlan, but seems unsuccessful.

Need someone enlighten me.

Dear all LYN UNIFI guru,

A few quick question would like to check with all gurus here:

1) Do I need to maintain my lan-line phone since I have Dect phone?

2) As for internal wiring, does Unifi still be using the old cooper wire at home? Assuming lan-line phone has been terminated since Dect phone is usable.

Thanks ya:)

lan-line = land line, ie the normal phone line? You can terminate your old phone line.

Hey guys!

Does any experience speed instability with Unifi?

I got the connection 2-3 months ago, and in the beginning it was great - ranging between 10 Mbps and 20 Mbps all the time (I got VIP20 package).

But starting last month, sometimes the connection drops to incredibly slow values - slower than old dial-up modem connections. It may take 5 minutes to load a simple HTML page which is very annoying.

My assumption is that TM began selling fast packages without ensuring they got enough international bandwidth?

Hi everyone , just got VIP5 in my house , I got few questions here.
1.Will TM automatically terminate the old phone line and streamyx ?
2.What to do with the old phone and modem from TM ? Return it to TM point as what the unifi technician told me ?
3.I'm experiencing high ping and unstable speed here when using WiFi , is it cause by the infamous DIR-615 router?

Thanks.

There is 2 solution

1. Remain your copper telephone line.
2. Get a backup UPS for your fiber device. Malaysia Alarm system not much company purchase those compatible with fiber device yet.
