my piece of advice...you know what? it is faster to apply unifi via online. I applied on 3 Jan 2011, and the technician called me for installation on 10 Jan 2011. Damn fast...hehe...maybe my area (OUG) is newly lauched, not much people using...keke..i'll be the first guinea pig.

Nearly misled by a saleman in the unifi booth set around my area, told me not to apply via online because normally will not be served or noticed..said if i apply with them, will try to have installation on 22 Jan 2010...haha...come on..i got free one month fee via online and faster installation date.

u have to walk in at tm point to cancel streamyx, since u "MIGRATED" to unifi. no penalty will be charged since u migrated, not terminate. better do it fast to avoid bills that coming..

IPTV will be only provided 1 unit only. If u want to use another extra TV, better use HDMI>HDMI+HDMI splitter/converter.

You need to submit cancellation form at TMpoint with a processing time of 14 working days. Yes, you need to pay for the full duration of service until actual termination. Streamyx contract period remainder not important, all Unifi customers are subject to a new 24 months contract for new or package upgrade. Streamyx to Unifi is considered an upgrade.

Hey I've been using Unifi for a while now and I can't stand the crappy router/modem which came free. Its an absolute piece of junk!I can't get Wifi signal upstairs my house.
I wonder if someone can recommend me some router/modem which has a way better signal strength compared to the free one?
Oh,can I use HomePlug HL280E by Aztech to strengthen my Unifi?
Thanks!

Hey guys, does anyone know how much extra to pay if asking for the billing hard copy to send to house address instead of email address? I need a hard copy.

Any Bandar Utama area Unifi user here? is it stable?

Dear all LYN UNIFI guru,

A few quick question would like to check with all gurus here:

1) Do I need to maintain my lan-line phone since I have Dect phone?

2) As for internal wiring, does Unifi still be using the old cooper wire at home? Assuming lan-line phone has been terminated since Dect phone is usable.

Thanks ya:)
*
1. You can terminate the old phone line, go to TM Point fill the termination form..
the Dect phone is 100% depend on electricity and Unifi line..

2. Usually Unifi wiring installation using fiber optic cable bro,Landed home they using fiber cable
if high rise apartment they using VDSL2 (copper wiring),but sometimes can get fiber wiring also..
please read the first page bro for more information or rizvanrp Unifi Handbook http://unifi.athena.my/
& klseet sites http://klseet.com/

The model I've tested is TL-WR841N ver7.1
donnie.dgr also tested ok on TL-WR841ND v7 as reported here

Hi klseet , just flash my TL-WR841ND ver7.1 , it works flawlessly now , no problem for IPTV too .
Thank you for providing me the custom firmware and solutions.

As mentioned earlier, this is caused by outdated geolocation database used by speedtest.net. The IPv4 range was recently allocated to TM, before that it was unallocated. But rather than say they don't know where you are, they assumed based on the allocation of nearby blocks. Such errors will be quite common until at least all the remaining blocks of IPv4 addresses are allocated.

Hi everyone , just got VIP5 in my house , I got few questions here.
1.Will TM automatically terminate the old phone line and streamyx ?
2.What to do with the old phone and modem from TM ? Return it to TM point as what the unifi technician told me ?
3.I'm experiencing high ping and unstable speed here when using WiFi , is it cause by the infamous DIR-615 router?

Thanks.
*
1- You have terminate on you self at TM point. At TM point they will give you termination form and remember to tick UniFi at termination reason on Section D.
I also tick at Slow Speed Connection as my termination reason. laugh.gif
