yes removing the apk will solve the problem, but most apps do install and start their own service, even though i dont see the need for it.

just installing few apps and programs fills up N900's RAM, you read that right, not executing apps, just installing them fills up the memory (RAM)

and since programs dont really quit, it just gets pushed back, unless you always go and kill each task.

imho, maemo is the best mobile OS when it comes to RAM management. programs actually quit when you stop executing, apart from daemons.

i hope meego does not end up like android or worse iOS.

That's weird...Maybe the apps initialize itself?
That's why most of the Android users need specific task killing app.

Indeed Maemo's RAM management is very good. Not to mention we actually have a proper way of closing app through the "x" button. With Android & iOS most of the time you need the godlike buttons to escape from the app(not closing)

did you guys notice, Nokia released new firmware for Nokia 5800.... V52...

come on, how old is that phone... 2 years ?

lets hope we get to see Maemo PR1.4 and PR1.5 at least...

PR2.0 is asking too much, because by then someone would have figured out how to OC N900 to 1500Mhz, add 512MB RAM and run Android 3.0 Gingerbread.... nah... just dream on....

Lol.. no one seems to reply to you..
First ssh into your n900
go to /etc/multiboot
U should see two items..
Edit the nitdroid item with the code i posted before..
Something like item_device and so

seems like a very good news to me regarding the neopwn injection drivers..the developer (no, not neopwn), is going to release the standalone injection drivers soon..

- Run X Term (X terminal as same in Linux os?) and become root?
- place something on the root of mass memory? what does it mean?

Thanks a lot in advanced and nice to meet everyone of you~ smile.gif
