guys after install nitdroid in phone, power kernel lost, any way to boot to power kernel again?

Before you booth your phone slide open your keyboard.
Now there should be 3 boot option.Press 2(if you didn't modify the boot option that is) to choose Maemo(kernel power).
Now there should be Maemo with kernel power.

er.. i slide the keyboard and boot , but only 2 option ,1is maemo, 2 is nitdroid, sifu install in emmc too?

anyway....anybody know about whatsapp application? as we know the developer has yet to comeout with a version that work with N900....but is there any other apps that can be use to link with all other platform such as whatsapp and ping chatz?

@zdenws: If you rajin, you CAN convert Garmin speedcam POIs to Sygic and use them. I know because I've done it before lol.

Now sakit hati with knots2. It's working suka2 hati, now work, later not working. Sigh.

On a side note, the ability to do most online stuff easily using a tablet (or rather, a browser + battery) that fits in your pocket is just mind boggling, really. What computers have become indeed.

1. flashed using FP flash step B. i have done both OTA and flash and i really recommend using flash due to the lower risk of messing things up.

2. powerkernel 46 + swappolube + kinetic scrolling + status menu - who says resistive touch is slow ?heheh.

3. preenv and webos games. ( still need to move them to mydocs, my 2gb is left only 340mb now) . nfsu, nova,settler, assasin creed, sims3, hawx..

4. xtra decoder, mplayer, sim.

5.sygic albeit 9.

6. maemocjk ! hahaha this nails it.

7. coming soon, will buy a microSD for ubuntu. and then sapgui. sapgui on a mobile phone..baha (though you cant call from it though, last i read)

one question for fcam.
according to the review on internet, the hdr option will capture few photo and combine and output by the fcam software.

But why my fcam only provide me 3 photo of different exposure but no final output?

FCAM won't combine them
I think you need to use other software to combine them or else there's another software that will snap and merge HDR.
I forgot which app but I'm sure sifu Aspire knows it

Somehow NITdroid apps behave like spyware, installing tons of background apps that spy on you and carry usage information back to the developer and and back to you. Even when the apps are not running.

Simply put, you need tons of RAM and ghz processor speed.

Maemo apps are much more cleaner.

Android is becoming worse than Apple apps.

Ad supported apps are not my cup of tea esp. on limited hw like mobile

phones and tablets.

Can you list down some of the apps.We'll try to avoid it.

Removing the particular compressed file of the app related file in NITDroid partition will remove the Google's apps right?

I think for now I'll just partition my MyDocs to 3 partition.NITDroid,MeeGo & rubbish partition.
neopwn have to wait for another day.

Is there any app for typing chinese word and copy paste to the text message ? Since that might be a solution for not sacrificing the virtual keyboard

u can try the apps 'HDR capture', this app will capture few photos and combine them for you

as for Fcam HDR mode, u can use FotoMix (a freeware , google it)

yes removing the apk will solve the problem, but most apps do install and start their own service, even though i dont see the need for it.

just installing few apps and programs fills up N900's RAM, you read that right, not executing apps, just installing them fills up the memory (RAM)

and since programs dont really quit, it just gets pushed back, unless you always go and kill each task.

imho, maemo is the best mobile OS when it comes to RAM management. programs actually quit when you stop executing, apart from daemons.

i hope meego does not end up like android or worse iOS.
