From http://hkdennis2k.homeip.net/2010/11/04/re...msung-galaxy-s/
i saw this
"Not using a journal is not a big deal, as long as you take care to do a full e2fsck pass when an unclear shutdown has occurred. This is the main reason for a journal – to prevent the need to do a full disk check, and instead the journal can be easily read, and the full disk check avoided."

does it mean if we apply ext4 with no journal, we need to perform e2fsck when unclear shutdown occurred?
by the way how to do e2fck with SGS? tongue.gif i dont know linux at all... biggrin.gif

IMHO factory reset will wipe out /cache /data & /dbdata but not sure about /system. /system may get formatted after flashed new firmware at first boot (I think).

Changing kernel no need to format, recommended just flush out the cache. /data recommended to format if changing ROM.

If I flashed only kernel, I just chose wipe cache and dalvik-cache only. And it will boot up a bit longer than usual.

Hi angel-girl, so after testing out Ultimate Rom, will you recommend it?

I'm on Doc's ROM XXJPO v8.....it's functional but a bit bored already...no nice themes to apply, nothing.....

Thanks for your feedback...

Btw, will you consider Axura Custom Rom?
