Thnks alot. One more noob question. If I flash from my stock DXJF4 to DXJPA using odin, will it void my warranty? I can't update to 2.2 using that stupid kies now even though I m on samsung stock 2.1. Also, by using odin to flash to 2.2, it ll not root my phone, right?
*
U will not void ur warranty by using odin to upgrade ur ROM. However, u will void ur warranty if u ur phone is rooted. So, please unroot it if u gonna claim for ur warranty.

U also enable all tweaks for ur K10C, any lagfix u applied?

Actually sometimes I wonder how some people keep complaining about the 300MB user accessible RAM that we have. I can barely reach 210MB of usage. Now with 342MB RAM, I feel the memory is being wasted.

You can see my settings in my signature. Getting 1863 or whereabouts in Quadrant score, but it's not a very good indication of real world performance because CyanogenMod 6.1b2 (with built in ext4 lagfix) gave 2130 but was slower overall than what I have now.

Thank kmrdeva, didnt realise that u put them on ur signature... :-p

I seldom look at Quadrant now as i never reflect the real smoothness of the phone.

I wish we can come for a gathering right now. I want to show how smooth my SGS is without lagfix after Speedmod K10C.

Quadrant only helps me to confirm that the lagfix is really applied. I don't really care about its value anymore tongue.gif

FongWei: u get 710 on K10b because u did not enable lagfix. By applying voodoo, it is a lagfix by itself, hence u get a higher Quadrant. Higher quadrant usually is a result of lagfix being applied. If stock, usually wont hit more than 1100 for our SGS. HTC i dunno, as the processor are different.

Ha ha, you are so right. I flashed up la, down la, kernel la, custom rom la, cyanogen la.. bricked a few times, but always reversible, as long as I have my trusted tool ODIN with me, and the phone still goes to download mode.. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Yep.. someone posted in xda-dev forum that the loops give slightly better perf.. plus adds 200+ to the final quadrant score.

Battery Indicator showing: Unplugged Since 12:41
Battery Usage showing: 8h 41m 59s

Now is 16:09.

8 hours ago was like 7am+. Why does BI says unplugged since 12:41 noon?

Try running Papago and take some screenshots. See if that works?

I m not sure if it's caused by lacking of memory or processing power. But it just doesn't capture, when a heavy program is being executed. Sad...

Added on December 1, 2010, 4:14 pmI gave it another Quadrant benchmark. Now it's giving me 1374. Previously I've only got 1070.

Hmm... somehow, those 3D benchmark, there were slight hanging in between frames.

Like what OCLF did on RFS, but replace it with your choice of base fs EXT3/EXT4/EXT4nj
