This is the trend everywhere in the world, if you haven't realized it yet. I think the days of the 24/7 unlimited download on internet is over with ISP clamping down on bandwidth hoggers.

In that case, they shouldn't have included the word "UNLIMITED" in their ads. Don't mislead subscribers. Fair?

Hmm...i think i feel something like this....download from Fileserve only 200Kb/s (premium account)...but i still get 400Kb/s from MegaUpload (free account!) yesterday....so i dunno...cannnot conclude... Maybe FS is a bit slow? But there was one day my line got capped at 0.5Mbps...but a quick call to TM fix it.

I just got hit with the 50kb/s limit.

However I checked my router and saw I was connected to their 115.xxx IP address. After a couple of reconnects, I got the 175.xxx IP and now chugging along at 180kb/s.

The cap might be IP dependent. Anyone got to bypass the cap by changing to another IP address?

VPN sucks. Waste money. It all depends on seeder. I am now running torrent at 200kbps...no VPN.

Maybe ur ratio very low?? Seed back lar.. ...Must give and take... tongue.gif

If pay for VPN, better pay for account like FileServe or Hotfile. Much better value.

i was stuck with 60.50 and 118.100 ip most of the time and they give capped speed at 0.5mbps
just get 115.134 ip and my download can get near full speed
but it is very very very very very rare to get ip other than 60.50 and 118.100 sad.gif

If your speedtest to international network is faster than 512kbps then your area are not affected with this capping.

TM.Nut is testing this features if u guys start complaint and make voice to SKMM / MCMC they will stop it

I think there is another cap technique by TM.. i already complaint for 3months already.

Morning = no cap
8.30pm until 2am = cap

my 1mb morning max 900kbps.
7.30pm = 900kbps
8.30pm = 384kbps
2.30am = 900kbps

This was done with direct connection with modem.
