My surfing speed has never been a problem for me, only occasionally (like the Taiwan earthquake a few years back) or that SMW cable problem. Even at this crawling download speed pages load in acceptable speeds.
But I didn't subscribe 4mbps just to Fing surf man, I want to download stuff, what's the use subscribing to HF if I'm going to get 40KB/s.

Omg now also my ave speed is ~20kbps

Here is what i noticed: Starting from 11am onwards my speed goes down to ave 50kbps. Then during the evening around 3-4pm my speed is ave 20kbps. I wonder if the speed will remain like this at night as well. Have to test later

My line fast and slow difference time of day.
2am - 1pm = 400kbps
1pm - 8pm = 200kbps
8pm -2am = 40kbps

I called TM and understand from them that the BRAS server is over loaded. Suppose 4000 per port, now already 5000++ per port...

Now waiting for them to move me from BRAS 6 to difference Server.

[attachmentid=1901360]

Having some friends working in TM.

He mentioned HTTP port to international is not limited.
but sites which uses a hell lots of bandwidth like fileshare, hotfile, rapidshare, youtube might being throttle.
Not sure about the seedboxs and all those private server though.

how exactly do i tell them to check for this? because the speed is ok after 2am or so and then progressive worsens throughout the day. this speed monitoring has become like a job in itself!

I still don't understand..if they are really capping the bandwidth, which mostly it seems like they are really doing it now,why TM still bothering to send out the technician and still troubleshooting the user problem on the phone?

btw,i'm on 4Mbps and i can only get back my max speed after 2am and drop to 150kBps in the afternoon.

Lol this is pathetic, even my Windows Update is crawling at 20 KB/s.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware can't update, downloads from SeedBox (FTP/HTTP), ubuntu ISO, and just about anything not locally hosted is limited to 50 KB/s.
