QUOTE(FiragaZ @ Apr 7 2011, 01:08 AM) planning to get a cheap dp cable for my dell U2311H monitor, do u have any obvious effect when using dp cable? Well, U2410 is a 10-bit panel (through dithering).... and only through DP can it support 10bit.... unfortunately I don't have a 10-bit GC card or software for 10-bit editing. U231H is a 8bit panel though.... there should be no difference between DVI or DP.. Added on April 7, 2011, 5:14 pmQUOTE(iguana_dude_619 @ Apr 6 2011, 10:00 PM) HDMI = DVI +audio = DP [ - royalty fees[/B] Not exactly, DP is another digital format (not compatible to HDMI/DVI).... which is royalty and legacy free This post has been edited by BeastX: Apr 7 2011, 05:16 PM

If you go back to the CRT, will the problem not appear on it? Perhaps try changing the system colours from black text on white background to green text on black background. It can be a little troublesome as not every application or web application is properly designed to handle such user settings. For web browsers, you will need to tell it to ignore the web page's colour choices.

For those who are still thinking of getting a Dell Ultrasharp monitor. Get it now lol I'm sure most must have seen my post about my U2311H having a bright pixel. Just got my replacement today gotta say I'm thoroughly satisfied. Seemed better than my previous one as well. Very very minimal yellow tint and its 100% brand new. Whats more they just took the power cord, stand and monitor itself. I got to keep everything else from my old package. I don't think you can get this sort of service from any other brand at the moment. Excellent monitor with an excellent warranty package.

QUOTE(Date Masamune @ Apr 11 2011, 12:50 PM) possible to get a lcd monitor for rm 400 and below , preferbably support HD ( or have hdmi slot) and no acer pls Why do you need HDMI exactly? For console? Even DVI has has HDCP support so you can play protected contents on Blu Rays and such, you just need a HDMI to DVI converter. Also, there's a few of non Acer LCDs below RM400 that can do this such as LG E2050T,Samsung E2020X etc etc.
