there's the U2311H,it's RM599 only nowadays.You can use the DP port on your HD5850 to connect to the monitor.For PS3 use a HDMI - DVI converter.
If you're comparing image quality it's hard to beat the U2311H for sub RM1000 LCDs.

I doubt you can see the ghosting unless you spcefically look for it in synthetic tests or the like.Personally when gaming i can't find anything of that sort with this monitor.

even u purposely looking for the ghosting u have no time to notice it =) i played COD,tome clancy, crysis etcs on my 2311h so far, if u seriously asking me about ghosting i only can tell u nv notice any, maybe my eyes ball too slow ?

Guys , where can get the Dell U2311H at KL area?at LYP have? Lazy to wait online order, just want to test the dead pixel and then carry house and use ~~

Hmm.. thanks for the feedback. Seems like this monitor looks really good.. but it lacks HDMI.
For Monitors, HDMI and DVI Big difference if plug from GC? i know HDMI does make a big difference for LCD TVs.


Saw the Samsung BX2450 today, love the design. But like you guys said, only the backlight is LED. IF pure LED Monitor, it'll be much better than most monitors?

EDIT: Hmm.. just watched a few review videos of U2311H, mostly says it is a very good monitor but not very good for gaming cause of the response time.

Can I know if this lcd supports hdmi? from the pics there seems to be a hdmi port but on the specs page from dell, they did not mention hdmi....

If your GPU supports it and the cable prices are similar, I'd recommend getting the DisplayPort cable instead.

I think the only con that I found are
1. No HDMI
2. A bit slow on power back on (took about 40 secs)
What grainy thing? Is it the backlight so uneven when viewed in dark environment?

You will definitely not want to return to your old monitor. Previously I was using a 15" monitor before I upgraded to a U2311H, and my, the difference is extremely big. I don't even want to touch the old monitor now .

any 1 using dell u2311h with display port?

With 5 years warranty,it'll be easier for you to sell the LCD later on,at least that's my justification for getting a 5 year warranty unit.
