Yes this is why sometimes i tend to ingore the Nikkor Lens book and also this side of the forum

funny thing, that day i was wandering around a camera shop in gurney plaza to look for 70200, 50mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/1.4... one of the seller look at me and asked...what lens would u like to try??i was like wow thats great...and i tried all of them out from the box hehe =)

Either suck up some courage and kindly ask if can offer some lens to test or take the journey to visit a Nikon Centre

cant remeber the name. or did i name the complex correctly.

i try 10-24, 12-24mm, 11-16, but end up didnt buy.

i only hav bad experience in SLS camera shop on lens trying..
others seems fine.
else. go down S'pore Funan or Peninsula.. there's hell lotta shop for u to try ur luck.

I guess you never been shopping with a girl or lady before? if not... you would be testing all the lenses including camera on demo or not but at last just walk away without buying anything

Take 85mm f/1.4G versus the 85mm f/1.4D. Contrast improved a lot with the nano coat, sharpness more or less the same.

lol they are more like your underling le... the more they give the face the more they out of business so when they make that face just smile back I always got that look le...

I mean test it out and then walk away? think they are going to still smile at you ar? just ignore the face and test

Though in japan I can sit on their couch for sale for hours and still none of them show me the face or anything... more like they smile and happy

reminds me of the incident where my sister was ordering some food and then got a call for urgent meeting .... told the waitress to cancel and give back her money... in the end she got the food and the money back... reason if you might ask... is "can't speak english" though japan is a good hospitality country

well, the worst service i ever encounter from a shop in SLS is..
the shopkeeper ask : "u confirm u wan to buy or not 1st. else i cant open to box for u to try"...
and i just giv him d wtf face and walk out...while he try to compensate back wat he said by they dun hav a test sample here bla bla bla...
