I'm not too sure if there's 2-in-1 BG for D5k. But as far as I remember, there are 2 types of BG for D5k. 1 is using cable and the other 1 is using IR. Just get the 1 with cable.

*
I've read somewhere (I've forgotten where) that D7000 has the same ISO performance as D700, because they are using the same tech, no? hmm.gif

According to KenRockwell.com, D7000 is the world's cleanest camera at ISO 25,600, see the comparison between Nikon D7000, Nikon D300, Nikon D3 and Canon 5D Mark II @ http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/comparison...3-iso/index.htm

waddaya think? D7k ftw! biggrin.gif

D7000 and D700 is different technology, the D7000 is newer, but is still a crop sensor as opposed to the D700 being a full frame. So, is the D700 replacement comes with D7000 type of sensor but in FF form, that ought to be ownage! D3s ISO performance with 16MP, hell yeah! (dreaming~ haha!)
*
I see, thanks for the info haha. That site is unreliable then rclxub.gif

i am just asking a general view of the said lens since it is a huge investment at 6k for the lens.

the weddings are of my friends. i have asked them why they dont want to take other photographers and explained to them that i dont do weddings. they answer to me was they feel comfortable with a person they have known for years to shoot them on their most important day of their life.
*
They feel comfortable and they trust you biggrin.gif

i *LOL*ed back at ya..
FYI, 50mm f1.4 is FX lens.. can be use in Fx body and Dx body
but 50mm f1.8 is Dx lens if u use in Fx body will be cropped (the 'cut' askakita mentioned)
in macro especially... with magnification, its better (IMHO) to be in MF because u get to focus at the point that u intend to focus on..
*
Errr, I thought both are FX lenses. Don't get it wrongly.

Only 35mm f/1.8G is DX lens. icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(aldosoesilo @ Nov 29 2010, 04:11 PM)
does it mean the flash will still work if I put it on camera body??
how much the flash stand (flash stand only, I have the flash itself) will usually cost me??

on what occassion we usually off the flash from the camera? do I need to use kind of remote trigger by then??
*
You don't need the Stand if you're mounting it on camera body. You only need the Stand when the speedlight is OFF the body.

Price? What speedlight huh? If you're talking about SB-900, it's RM45 in ShaShinKi, refer HERE. Is that the stand you talking about?

Purpose? Wireless. Try to find out Nikon Creative Lighting System (CLS).

There are many ways to deal with wireless:
1. pop-up flash from body / commander mode
2. use Nikon SU-800 as the commander
3. 3rd party flash trigger, eg: Phottix Aster (Trasmitter + Receiver)
4. master and slave, require at least 2 speedlights, 1 on body as master the rest act as slave.

I suggest you to read *_-_-_*Flash Thread V1*sleep.gif_-*, Lighting Up Photography.

Lastly, correct me if I'm wrong laugh.gif

Hi guys,
New user for D3000.
Want to know want kind of lens that has auto focus for this body?
I was looking for the 50mm 1.8 but was told it does not have a motor for d3000..
Any recommendations?
Im looking for bokeh shot lens or more into potrait~
*
Look for AF-S lenses for auto focus.

Portrait purpose? brows.gif

Budget wise, 35mm f/1.8G, around RM850.
Or else, 50mm f/1.4G AF-S, around RM1.8k.

Not sure about technique, but editing is required to make it perfect. Have you seen people making short clips with mobile phones? brows.gif

You're comparing a FX lens and DX lens.

Anyway, both don't have VR.

But something is still bothering me...
Whats the Diff between a 50 f/1.4D and a 50 f/1.4G?
Both 'G' and 'D'  rclxub.gif
*
In a simple term, f/1.4G got motor inside the lens while f/1.4D doesn't have.
