again, you win on the most "easiest" and "simplest" desktop/windowing environment. Where can I get? thee hee
Well, it's my own WM, so I haven't released it anywhere yet. Even if I did, it would be a pain for most people to install. If you want something with behaviour close to mine, you can try CalmWM, but the source won't install properly on Linux unless you modify the openbsd_compat headers (it's originally made for BSD ... cos Linux sucks:P) and create a new makefile, and even then you'll probably get some dependency issues (basically, I don't recommend you try it)
Why not try a tiling WM like Xmonad, DWM, ScrotWM, etc first?
Note: these WM's are not really "easy" for for first-timers, so you'll need to read up a bit.

Got a laptop guys !
now i need guidance for installed base Linux on this laptop .
might be going for LinuxMint since it looks nice and attracts me with the GUI features .
any taiko can teach me bit by bit ?
Mint is great for beginners, and possibly a tad easier the Ubuntu, since it already comes with codecs and stuff, plus it's prettier.... but you'll need to download and burn a DVD, not CD (at least for the main Gnome version) since the .iso is bigger.now i need guidance for installed base Linux on this laptop .
