My configs probably won't work for you, since I've hacked the source code to add some functionality to suit my own specific workflow. Also because I use the CVS dev version, which is a bit different from the stable version you get from your repos.

Tell you what, I'll grab the standard config and edit it for you. It'll be a bit later since I'm still at work right now.

In the meantime, can you check your repos or package manager and tell me what version you have installed? Also, you can "man scrotwm" in the terminal to read up first

hey guys, i've finally embraced ubuntu after many years on and off since 6.0+ anyway im so amazed by ur designs, damn they look good. i just managed to get 10.04 last sunday and been conky-ing ever since hehe.. here's what i'm able to come up with. still unsuccessful with weather..

and how do u guys get the mac-look dock? looks cool..

This is my basic setting.

I often use elementary or ambiance for theme.

./conky-colors --help

for more options.

I am not worried abt IP, can always reboot modem to change. 

Here my desktop... take quite a while to configure the conky...

You're on Ubuntu, right?

sudo apt-get install ttyload

Edit: Just noticed you switched to LMDE (a good move, imho). The command is the same for LMDE/Debian as well.

Did you tried on your Windows? 60fps does make huge difference, especially when it's a live performance.

Btw, what type of conky should I install? There's a lot of it in the Software Center.
