Thanks for the info on market enabler. Will email the developer. I guess its soon I will send in the phone for warranty as the power button getting too recessed in and aint as sensitive as before..then find time to root, been talking bout rooting lol! no time and leceh.

Oh yes, i heard if you go roaming and that way you can access paid apps without root or market enabler? Anyone tried it out?

Congrats on V2! We took quite some time to get here eh? CyanogenMod RC1 is out. Rooted user, go for it!

Or having other country SIM. Myself, having Lebara PrePaid Sim Card from previous short visit to Melbourne. Cannot Location Update here, but Market get trough.

Well, there is a froyo sense Rom but its not stable. It's based on the Gratia and quite a few things aren't working. I suggest you wait for the update.

Is this model not producing anymore ?? i find that hardly see any new Legend selling around.. Digi oso out of stock @.@

Ive used a singaporean sim when i went to singapore last month. Can access all paid apps no prob.

Official froyo from htc will be out soon, but not sure how soon =p

Looks like I don't have a choice. HTC is suppose to release our froyo by third quarter but now it's already the forth. Hopefully we don't have to wait like how the HTC Hero users waited for their eclair.

I have a question.... I am planning to root my legend.... If i root it and HTC releases Froyo for Android, can i just update OTA or i have to unroot it to update?

if you root it and use the rooted stock sense rom, you can just run the OTA and your root will be gone.
if you root it and install custom rom, you have to reflash back to sense rom and run the OTA.

So basically if i root with custom rom, just use the update of the custom rom... But if i wish to update to the Stock Froyo provided by HTC, i will have to reflash my rom to HTC Sense Rom before i can run OTA? And where can i get back my stock sense rom? All i see on XDA are custom roms...

You can use RUU to reflash back to stock sense rom

You may need a goldcard before you can use this utility. Not sure about it, cos I kinda forgot whether i did use a goldcard or not.

Digi and retail should be same. No difference. No sim lock or what not.

Sorry to ask so many question, after download that RUU... i just run it and it will do the rest??

PS: the modaco tutorial says bootloader version of 0.43.xxxx or below and a ROM version of 1.31.xxx.x but i have a software number of 2.05.707.1.... how? Can that work???

When you use market, it's linked to your google account right? I guess it would ask me to register a credit card with the google account to make the purchase (and future purchases)

BTW, anyone else having problems with k9-mail and yahoo mail like me? K9 cant seem to recieve all the msges from yahoo server anymore, used to be ok up to last week. Lets say on my phone i get like 5 msges, then i check on the browser, there are some that wasnt recieved by k9... sigh.. no prob with gmail though

According to HTC production for legend stopped due to lack of amoled displays from Samsung. The desire suffered the same fate. And that reason is why the Aria ever got released in the first place.
