Updated to Froyo and seems the phone is giving me problems ever since update.

Initially it kept on rebooting, and even now it has mini crashes where the interface needs to reload itself. HTC Sense is so unstable that I've decided to stick with ADW launcher.

Second is internal space. For some reason after awhile the phone slowly increased the internal space used until it was left with 1%. Not too sure what exactly was eating the space. It is at 4% now.

Lastly links to the 2nd case, is the market. Even though I moved my apps to SD, the market can't update any cause not enough space on phone?

I think it's finally time to root.

So any answers? Why my internal memory suddenly drain like crazy until now left 4%?

Is it Froyo is much bigger than Eclair?

Another weird thing, now I can't change my phone ringtone to mp3s, any idea why?

Lastly, how do I transfer messages to my PC?

Ugh... dunno why my Legend is getting pretty laggy now, even just typing msg or clicking a widget, once in awhile will lag.

too much apps running in the background?

see if your RAM is still available or not, and dont' let too many apps running together (hint: widgets).

p/s: turning off the background sync will help, and personally I found turning off the live wallpaper smoothen things up a bit too.

Most are just the system apps which keep restarting even when I used to kill them frequently.

Could be the widgets and Live Wallpaper though.

Thx for the tips

My screen like spoilt already now. It keeps sensing theres something touching the top right of the screen so I can't access my notifications and when I touch anywhere else, the phone thinks I'm pulling the screen down.

Weird part is, when I reset the phone, (battery out-in), then it will work until it gila again then can't.

Think I should factory resest? Planning to root as well, since the phone is already quite shit, better try some things haha nothing to lose.

Yes I will haha. I don't think need goldcard already right? I remember reading there was a app now that sort of "rooted" the phone without needing to actually root it? Not very sure though.

How do i backup my contacts and pictures etc before doing a factory reset? And sorry for the dumb question but how to factory reset?
