to flash kernel only ? take like 60 seconds... (plus downloading time)

you dont need to have full battery...
*
and if you are flashing from a PC, its even faster...

the command posted above is for flashing from PC

if you can still boot into N900 you can even flash the kernel from xterm.

apt-get install --reinstall kernel kernel-flasher

@SEA: I just got my 16GB Kingston class 4 (which, admittedly, I had to buy anyway for the miniSD adaptor) AND just splurged money on Space Hulk: Death Angel + Card Sleeves (like, an hour ago) - now only you wanna do Class 10 bulk.

Now I is having no monies, so I emo lar like this.

Spotted a fellow Maemoian with an N900 over at SS15 this afternoon, at mamak near Pizza Hut. Anybody from here?

Follow the Manual Update A from frontpage.

But instead of typing

CODE
flasher-3.5.exe -F R.bin -f -R

type this

CODE
flasher-3.5 -F R.bin --flash-only=kernel -f -R

@jananan
He cannot even boot to OS...

@Eiraku
Still not confirm whether I'll do the bulk.I'll wait if there is 10 person.

eMMC = Internal 32GB memory.

I try smartreflex in Maemo dulu = frequent reboots. Would expect it to do the same even in NITDroid.

Could be wrong tho.

Flashlight won't cause that.
usually this will happen only because of kernel power.

Dude,I've spell everything at the FP's "Manual Method A"

The R.bin file is renamed RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin file.

something i found from some guy's comments in amazon

comparison between some Komputerbay brand class 6 and sandisk class 4.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B003ZTCBZ0

looks like the kingmax i bought still beats the others at sequential read and random read speeds as well.

its the random write speeds that i am worried about...
