QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Nov 15 2010, 07:15 PM) 18-55 screakkk screeaakkkk while focusing. Will not remember that sound. Even if u use the latest 85mm f/1.4 AF-S, the sound of focusing is still being heard.. Can't do anything except using external mic or just turn off the built-in mic and add some music when u wanna finalize ur production.

Well, D3100 is the first DSLR that offers this function. Maybe the next DSLR will be fixed ? EDIT : How about now ? Better ? This post has been edited by fabianz03: Nov 15 2010, 07:24 PM

QUOTE(KTCY @ Nov 15 2010, 07:27 PM) If noisy, I rather get D Considered noisy for me since I'm used to AF-S lens . Seldom use my 50mm f/1.8D, but more silent than that haha! I think because the 85mm micro adjust since the dof pretty thin.

I got no time to send it over today, and they asked me to try doing it myself 1st Added on November 15, 2010, 7:36 pmHAhaa.... I think if wanna use the autofocus function for video, better to buy a external mic, the jack can use cheapo mic? Or how much is nikon dedicated mic? Previously I manual focus in D5000 video acceptable in noisy places, but now using autofocus, the motor sound is really annoying This post has been edited by Kent3888: Nov 15 2010, 07:36 PM

QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Nov 15 2010, 07:53 PM) Got hotshoe microphone for D3100 ? U can't record the sound into the camera, cause u dun have the microphone jack, unless u are willing to use external recorder and sync when u are post-processing the video, which is troublesome..
