Macro photography is close-up photography .. The classical definition is that the image projected on the "film plane" (i.e., film or a digital sensor) is close to the same size as the subject - from Wikipedia...

18-200 is combination of zoom lens and telephoto lens, its depend on your needs. If you want all-in-one, then go for this lens. If you want better zoom lens, then go for 17-50 f/2.8.

18-270 is much better since got vibration compensation but 18-200 don't have. The macro in both 18-200/270 can also shot wide angle landscape, portrait, object...etc

For me, both this lens is just the extended version of kit lens and smaller aperture.

Nissin 622 trigger via available flash. Which mean even your pop up flash can trigger that.

No..... SB600 dont work as wireless unless u buy a 3rd party trigger which is around 120-150. Nissini di622 can only be trigger using ur body's flash, means the optical sensor sense ur body flash, and trigger the di622!! Hope this helps...

i'm using D40 and interested to get Di622. can you or anybody explain more on wireless trigger between D40 and Di622?
thanks

But in terms of build quality, SB-600 win hands down. flex.gif
As well as functions. Although Di622 is very user friendly but it lacks of functions like manual zoom in SB-600
