QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Nov 1 2010, 03:12 PM) Where had everyone gone to ? This thread got buried deep on this section. Oh I just found out that 70-200 f/2.8 VR and VRII can work on my D3000 I'll need to save the rest of my life to afford that lens. Of course can but damn hard to hold as the body bloody small.

QUOTE(ehor @ Nov 2 2010, 03:56 PM) hi guys, i owned a D5000 a week ago. I found out that when i take a night scenery with tripod, ISO 400, and 3" shutter speed and the picture come out not so sharp and have quite alot of noise . Please advise. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « To me la. D5000 ISO usable only till 800. And night scene use tripod with ISO 100 and smaller aperture yo Added on November 2, 2010, 4:23 pmQUOTE(fabianz03 @ Nov 2 2010, 04:21 PM) Those plane are OLD. Yea, some of them also need some cleaning, especially on the wings. BTW. Fresh from Subang. Credits goes to Malaysia Airlines Travel @ FB Oh ya. This is the new plane. QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Nov 2 2010, 04:28 PM) Don't so happy first... only 1 arrived, 50+ more to go... Takes a long time to fully replace all the old B734's. Next time must think twice before buying Air Asia because this baby has in-flight entertainment yo ! Oh then surely will see it as 734 always fly PG-KL Wow. In flight entertainment. Same charges ?

QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Nov 3 2010, 11:04 AM) Hahaa.... okok, paiseh, looked down on stofen diffuser tim =p Added on November 3, 2010, 11:19 amSuch a pretty lens you have there, how is the newer N VRII lens compared to this VRI version? Have you tried out both? How nice if Nikon produce higher end lens with grey colour (not white), haha Newer N VRII tend to have breathing issue and very end of zoom. That's why I took the white VR1 instead of the new VRII. It's actually grey, not white. And Nikon did produce grey for higher end lens like 300mm and etc.

QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Nov 3 2010, 02:58 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Is this grey one has limited production? more expensive than the usual black one? So in love with this....... mind to share how much u bought? Haha.... Indeed this zoom lens is very nice for portrait too, forging out money for 85mmG, for me I think better get 70-200 which can be used for motorsport event oso Quite limited. Penang only got 3-4 person using. 85mm f/1.4 better in term of portrait as bokeh nicer, lighter. But of course it comes to flexibility as zoom ma And take into account that 70200 min focusing is 1.5metre

QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Nov 3 2010, 03:20 PM) I tot 85mm min focusing distance further? Gotta open up Nikkor lens catalogue to check later, haha.... Buy 1 70200 gao dim, no nit buy another longer end portrait lens 85mm is 85cm only. Owned 2 unit and knows it quite well. Both sold off in the end cause cant really use it when table dining. Indeed. 70200 more than enough but weight

QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Nov 3 2010, 03:37 PM) Yea, got a short portrait for close take, but wanna explore shooting using longer end..... 85cm very close ler, can do very strong bokeh when shooting so close, free muz go try the 85mm 1.8 suit me or not 1st 85mm not that close lo. Quite far away especially when you're having a dinner, this lens probably can't use at all as you need to stand up and go a few steps behind. If you're keen on portraiture, get 85mm f/1.4D version or 135 f/2DC. That's work perfectly for portraiture. Or, 70200 also not bad. Bokeh damn smooth. Photo credit to the owner itself. I don't have any photos of 70200 portraiture yet as I got no time to try it out

^ I will. Closest distance = better bokeh VR1 got vignetting but can easily correct on FF.

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Nov 3 2010, 05:39 PM) Ok la, i understand. I also use max zoom on nearest subject sometimes to bring the background looks larger and more bokeh But then, I still will go for VR2 lo. Allow me to take pictures using slower shutter speed and sharper image from edge to edge compare to the older predecessor Go go. No one stop you. You're using D300. DX not much different. On FF, yes. HELL LOT !

QUOTE(Bliz @ Nov 4 2010, 08:46 AM) If can manage to find VR1 for below 5k then it's a good deal, was sourcing for a VR1 earlier but all the prices offered are more than 5k, decided to get the VR2 instead after trying.. Now that I am getting FF, heaven for me True. If on FF, get VRII else VR1 is just fine. I got mine at reasonable price too. Few months old with unfilled warranty card, which I can work out for warranty.
