SAPPHIRE Vapor-X HD 6870 vs. MSI R6870 Twin Frozr II

Which one will better?
*
LOL. The price is so much different already between 2 of them.
MSI R6870 Twin Frozr II is better.
Twin Frozr series usually offer "BEST" cooling among others. However, it's CLOCKS are not clocked as high as others(such as ASUS TOP series).
Yet, it's BIOS is superior, this allow you to OVERCLOCK much better than the rest.

Can someone advise me that will it be better to use ATI card than Nvidia if my current processor is running on AMD?

GC reviews are all there
Some games are optimized for Nvidia, some for AMD

So choose what you like best, bang for buck and enjoy your gaming

Please check your facts before posting. 68XX series were never meant to replace the 57xx series.

What skylinelover had posted is true.

AMD had generally create a new naming and heirarchy system, Radeon HD 5800 with Radeon HD 6900 and Radeon HD 5700 with Radeon HD 6800.

It's actually half correct to say the 6 series 'replaces' the 5 series, the 6 Series technically fills the gaps between the cards within the 5 series range.
Like been displayed on the post above me...the y-axis (saturn85).

But IMO i think the 6850 truly replaced the 5830 since market wise the 5830 seems too expensive for it's performance, therefore had to be booted out, plus paying the cheaper price for 6850 for better/equal performance to the more expensive 5830 is more favourable to the consumers.

I like the 6870 bridging the gap between 5850 and 5870, plus you can easily OC the 6870 to equalize the 5870's performance.

The addition of 6950 and 6970 are logical, since the 5970's gap with 5870 is rather huge, therefore need two cards to bridge the gap; and it's more flexible for consumer's this way.

The 6990, is just to piss off Nvidia I guess tongue.gif

It's quite unfortunate that the HD 6990's performance is bottlenecked by the power constraints. That would have really pissed off Nvidia. laugh.gif

Yep. That thing(Radeon HD 6990) should be only focus on the CROWN and just for rich mans.

Not sure if Nvidia create something like GeForce GTX 590? But, usually, Nvidia won't create that. Last time, some people said there's GeForce GTX 495(Dual GPU) for GeForce GT 400-Series. In the end, nothing. doh.gif

I don't think it was possible back then, considering the timing and how hot and power hungry the GF100 chips were. But there's a chance they might pull something together with the current generation.

i'm sure they will create them if they can. smile.gif they need 'the fastest' title for marketing purpose. and about GTX495 i honestly believe that was only speculated by people (which i believe rooted from dual GF100 on a board made by certain nvidia board partners) . i never heard nvidia give any words or detail regarding such a card. the only official statement that i heard before is 'we might release GTX485' (which is proved such a board is not efficient at all)

so far the low end HD6000 series only available for OEM market. 6770 and 6750 is direct rebrand + minor improvement from 5770 and 5750 but they also made for OEM only
