I like how some of the reviews also question AMD's need to name what should have been the HD 6700 as HD 6800.
The cards look good and they're on my shortlist to buy if I need them, but they would have been much more classier and impressive if they were the HD 6700.

QUOTE(jhcwcc @ Jan 9 2011, 11:50 PM) how about ATI4870x2 2GB card, worth to buy now? That is a rather broad question. Perhaps you should consider your personal needs first. Are you playing games on a monitor that would need the performance it offers? If you can't tell, you probably don't need it or won't be able to properly appreciate it. There's a guy I know who bought a HD4890 since it came out and just recently I learned he didn't know what anti-aliasing was. I can afford to buy a HD5970, but with my gaming preferences, it wouldn't be worth it at all.

Depends on the game, but the CPU probably will bottleneck your GPU.

Unfortunately AnandTech doesn't have a direct comparison between the HD 3650 and the HD 5670. But the HD 4670 analysis does compare with the HD 3650, so it is possible to make some comparison. It seems to be about 2x to 3x the performance. Be sure to try to buy the 512MB edition. The 1GB edition will only cost you a lot more for negligible performance improvement. It's quite unfortunate that the HD 6990's performance is bottlenecked by the power constraints. That would have really pissed off Nvidia.

I don't think it was possible back then, considering the timing and how hot and power hungry the GF100 chips were. But there's a chance they might pull something together with the current generation.

QUOTE(renz496 @ Feb 20 2011, 04:00 PM) http://www.techpowerup.com/140003/AMD-Outs...0-for-OEMs.htmlhttp://www.techpowerup.com/138823/AMD-Slip...0-for-OEMs.htmlso far the low end HD6000 series only available for OEM market. 6770 and 6750 is direct rebrand + minor improvement from 5770 and 5750 but they also made for OEM only Thanks for the links. I wish the HD 6670 had arrived to retail or are at least benchmarked, so that I may have something to drool over until the HD 7670 comes out.
