Meanwhile CCC 10.11 WHQL is for Radeon HD5000 ONLY! AMD/ATi said it.

AMD/ATi recommends CCC 10.10e for Radeon HD6800 currently. It's most stable for the current time already.

On top of that, these CCC 10.11 WHQL is newer than CCC 10.10e.
So, to those who want to try it out, go ahead.
*
Actually the CCC 10.10e is newer than the 10.11 WHQL. AMD sent the 10.11 a month ago for WHQL testing.
That is the reason why there is no support for AMD 6 Series because at that time the cards haven't released yet.

CCC 10.11 WHQL don't have MLAA function and doesn't support Radeon HD6000-Series.
CCC 10.10e have MLAA for both Radeon HD5000 and 6000 Series. And there's no UNSTABLE at all. I am using it whole time since it's released.
Yet, I don't know CCC 10.11 WHQL or CCC 10.10e which 1 have the better performance overall. I even get performance boost for DX11 titled games like Metro 2033.

However, if you intend to use MLAA on CCC 10.11 WHQL, there's a trick. Registries hack. LOL. Read this thread, http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=331108&page=3
It's for CCC 10.10x MLAA hacking, but it also usable on CCC 10.9 and CCC 10.11.

According to CatalystMaker, 10.10e is better.

10.11 has no support for 68 series. Stick with 10.10e hotfix which is the latest driver for ur GPU.

how come the new driver does not support new card, sign~~~
*
10.11 was submitted a month ago for WHQL testing. When they built the driver, the 6 series haven't even released yet. That is why there is no support for it in 10.11.

Your card is a HD5870 like what's stated in your sig?
*
Yes. I used to have problems of tearing with some of my 480p video songs. After the latest update of catalyst software, no more problems now.
I can't remember which update fixed it because all the time I turned off the option. Only after the latest update, I tried to test it again by turning it on in MPC and it was working flawlessly. No more tearing. Btw, I am using Catalyst 10.10e.

I hope you all really understand the needs of installing DirectX Runtime Package(Jun 2010).
It's not for DX 9.0c. It's named that way only.

Without full DX Codes, some bugs or lower performance will happen.
*
This is true. I always update my DirectX to make sure there is no problem with games.
Sometimes, not having the latest update can cause ur game to crash eventhough it is not using DirectX 9.

guys, i have this issue about my ATi display driver, it's quite often saying the display driver isn't responding and the OS (Windows 7 x64 Ultimate) have successfully recovered, after recovered it went normal though, just it's annoying as it make take a while to recover/restart the driver.

rebooting the system also same, i might add the problem is random, i'm using Catalyst 11.1 and previously 10.2, both driver same problem, btw, i'm on HD5850.
*
Did you clean install or juz install the 11.1 on top of the previous driver?

6970 x 5870
6950 x 5850
6870 x 5830
6850 x 5770

x denotes replacing
*
Please check your facts before posting. 68XX series were never meant to replace the 57xx series.

What skylinelover had posted is true.

AMD had generally create a new naming and heirarchy system, Radeon HD 5800 with Radeon HD 6900 and Radeon HD 5700 with Radeon HD 6800.
