5850 is RM599 @ czone ^^

If already got HD5870, then no need to change (not even an upgrade)... Performance about the same, even for Tessellation..

I think HD6970 performs better than GTX480 by 10%, consuming less power, and then GTX580 performs better than HD6970 by 10%, consuming a lot more power, as always.

HD5870 still has the lead, but I think HD6870 is a wise choice because it is on par with HD5850. It also doesn't cost that much plus you get new technology.

A HD5770 can play most of the games smoothly (Not ultra setting), so a HD6870 will fill the needs to push everything to ultra. Do keep in mind upcoming drivers will also improve the overall performance of the 6xxx series.

Don't expect too much.

I dun think the HD5770 price will drop that much as there was not a product that AMD release to replace the HD57xx series. In fact that are planning to keep it for the time being. 

i won't thing it will replace 5770.. more or less the lower-end such as 56XX and 55XX/54XX..

6850/6870 is actually the successors of 5750/5770..

I feel like skipping the HD6xxx series and only upgrade when AMD releases HD7xxx. 

guys, how did you adjust the rpm of the gpu's fan? using MSI afterburner?

CCC 10.11 WHQL don't have MLAA function and doesn't support Radeon HD6000-Series.
CCC 10.10e have MLAA for both Radeon HD5000 and 6000 Series. And there's no UNSTABLE at all. I am using it whole time since it's released.
Yet, I don't know CCC 10.11 WHQL or CCC 10.10e which 1 have the better performance overall. I even get performance boost for DX11 titled games like Metro 2033.

However, if you intend to use MLAA on CCC 10.11 WHQL, there's a trick. Registries hack. LOL. Read this thread, http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=331108&page=3
It's for CCC 10.10x MLAA hacking, but it also usable on CCC 10.9 and CCC 10.11.

i do realize new at rm599 only. but 2nd hand got around at 500-550. depends on d item age. im trying to resist to go for cf. keep telling myself not worth it.
