both r great gpu n going for either 1 wont be wrong.
if im not mistaken, gtx460 is better in terms of power draw, cooling n oc capabilities.

Accelero XTREME Plus is compatible with hd 6870 but not with 6850 o.o

They should standardise the cooler sockets/mounting on GPU the same way they did on mobos so that aftermarket coolers could fit on just any card....same way as CPU coolers nowadays

AMD should lead the way since they are more towards backward compatibility and value for consumers

Yeah, strongly agree on this...i was so disappointed when clawhammer finish measuring the accelero xtreme plus for me to find out that it cant fit on my 5850
tat so cool tri-fan cooler and its performance unable to enjoy it

I believe you can except you sacrifice 2 or 3 HDD space for that, your HDD will need to put at bottom part, which I think only 1 or 2 HDD space left.
If XFire... lol.. buy 4-in-3 module to put your HDD at your ODD space (sacrifice 3 ODD space for 4 HDD space).

Or you can use ruler to measure your chassis space to see if it has at least 10.5" long, the HD6870 has ~10.1".

Oh my god. I just asked Zalman Tech about a custom cooler for the HD6870, and apparently the Zalman GV1000 ( Zalman VF1000, but nickel-plated & red LED fan ) is compatible with it! It's even compatible with the HD6850.

Gosh, for RM210, it's seriously worth it. <3. Guess I will be getting myself a HD6870 very soon .

@AlphaBeta, if you'd like to try unlocking the Phenom II X2 555 to a quad core, then go with it. It's cheaper than the X3 710, and much more worth it IMO. But if you don't, then go with the X3 710 then, otherwise, seek for a used Phenom II X4 955 BE at the garage sales which should be pretty cheap now since a new one only costs RM440.
