QUOTE(Clem1982 @ Nov 10 2010, 02:09 PM) Hmm.. with teh 580 out from the green team I just hope that RED team can come up with something to equal the field but I suspect that the GF110 reviews and benchmarks are a lil skewed.. more than 50% performance increase than HD5870 wor... really meh?? About ~25% only, there's no 50% increment, well maybe for some games that rely on nVidia optimized architecture (correct me)?Anyone know about HD6970 release date? AMD always so secretive one. |

Yeah yeah what a waste to get BE processor and yet not doing any OC. if u donwanna OC then trade with my 710+topup Just buy the Phenom II x4 with higher frequency even better. |

QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Nov 18 2010, 02:23 PM) Took me few minutes to find the 10.10e hotfix >.<" CODE http://support.amd.com/la/kbarticles/Pages/GPU87AMDCat1010eHotfix.aspx Is this the link? though I'm not using the AMD card, just want to ask favor to put this in the front page (if it's the correct link) to make others newbie's life like me easier. Anyway, the AMD forum's moderator confirmed the 10.11 version is only fixes for the HD5000 series, 10.12 will support HD6000. Kinda confusing |

I haven seen any obvious PhysX comparison except for Mirror Edge, the environment is some added beauty in them.
Wait till ray-tracing brought into gaming, now that's real deal |

QUOTE(N1ck @ Nov 26 2010, 01:47 AM) Passive 6850 by sapphire! I wonder when will it be released here! http://www.techpowerup.com/135146/PowerCol...phics-Card.html QUOTE Silent and fugly, much like Vinnie Jones in "Gone in 60 seconds" LMAO, the heatsink definitely not appeal to some, but for those who want near silent case for HTPC, etc. Doubt many Malaysian will take this unless they have a darn good case or a darn good air-cond room |

QUOTE(marky @ Dec 1 2010, 10:29 AM) I believe you can except you sacrifice 2 or 3 HDD space for that, your HDD will need to put at bottom part, which I think only 1 or 2 HDD space left.If XFire... lol.. buy 4-in-3 module to put your HDD at your ODD space (sacrifice 3 ODD space for 4 HDD space). Hope this help. |

QUOTE(zerorating @ Dec 3 2010, 03:12 PM) we cant do anything lol..its seems like hd6900 series are targeted for enthusiastic market..they get their gtx580 at 3999yuan while in our country, can get as low as rm1600 im estimate that msrp should be: hd6950=usd350 hd6970=usd450 since msrp of hd6870 are usd239.99,increase of 60usd for hd6950@usd299 seems impossible QUOTE(atrass @ Dec 3 2010, 04:17 PM) My 4850 is producing artifact in 2D mode Should zerorating correct then HD6950 should be around RM1,100++I'm waiting for 6950 but if it really cost RM1500 then is out of my budget Not sure my 4850 can survive until they release 6930 or not... HD6970 RM1,1417++ If HD6970 place same price with GTX580, which is RM1,600 (lowest can be found right now) then HD6950 should be around RM1,200++ If HD6950 is RM1,500, then buying 2 HD6870 is much worth since HD6970 only 50% faster (according to rumor). |

QUOTE(zerorating @ Dec 3 2010, 04:41 PM) its just my estimation, maybe hd6950 should be around usd319.99/usd329.99 I can say no worries to AMD pricing, they're very competitive, always and should be always considered value.Hope amd can used the old hd5850/5870 msrp pricing back at usd269/usd399 With its improving tech, I think some will divert from green to red |

I guess AMD goes green and value, and nVidia went all the way to the top performance but ate the hell out of your pocket, haha...

Latest NFS Hot Pursuit isn't as resource hunger as NFS Shift, even my 9600GT able to do High settings without AA smooth at 1080p. I think the NFS rely more on CPU of which a normal C2D can do just fine.
And COD4, I can only goes mid settings, which is already quite good consider a low-end 9600GT Fast fast Diablo 3 out then I might grab HD6950, LOL @ my friend's RM1399 HD5870 bought in October. This post has been edited by wildwestgoh: Dec 15 2010, 03:44 PM |
