Who knows when the new products will be launched?

They took a long time to come up with XPS to succeed the Studio XPS and XPS M1330/1530.

Vent design is a plus, aluminium as well. It may look quite bulky from the front, and the top panel is not very appealing, but the biggest letdown is the specs.

Maybe when Sandy Bridge is released, they will put those into the new XPS with new motherboards and better GPUs.

I've ordered a Dell XPS15 last month. Now they delayed till 25th November. I'm starting to think there may be some issues with the hardware.

If there were issues with hardware these would have been present on the first day or next month. Dell does not typically correct these with existing models, and the best they'll do is release a BIOS update. If it's a battery issue, replacement. If it's a physical issue, wait for the new product (who knows when?).

You just hope that it has no problems. Oh wait no that's for other products. Dell will replace yours if it really does.

Apparently they said it's LCD parts shortage. Gotta keep fingers crossed I guess. Think they may ship all together to save on transport costs. So yours may come along with mine. Hhaa

ya.. but it slighty over my budget 3.5k..
so, i stick back to xps 15.. now considering which warranty package i should pick.. the xps premier service will cover the hardware warranty, onsite service, and the complete cover just for accidental damage protection.. am i right?

We're not sure about warranty, with XPS Premier vs Dell Care.

So far nobody has been able to explain the differences comprehensively, not even Dell themselves. But you could ask Dell.
