I have waited >2 months already with no laptop, I miss having one all to myself

If it's a good product I will wait, I really preferred to buy at this time, around November, but others have very limited warranty I cannot trust (after what happened with my last few laptops I am really cautious now).

They have AMD fusion and other things coming out, but people give really bad comments about AMD CPUs.

I believe i5 is compatible with 2GB VRAM since other laptops are sold with those specs. It's just Dell being Dell. It will be hard for me to accept buying a hot Nvidia GPU, but buying it with i7? I will never repeat that mistake.

Bad news is Sandy Bridge products all have quite high TDPs. It's like Intel and Nvidia are competing, who can make the hottest product with the worst relative performance.

Putochip, other laptops ARE sold with i5 (460/560 etc) + GPUs Faster Than GT435/445M... that's just a fact... what do you work for Dell or something?

i7 quad is pretty hot if you're in Malaysia or when your room temperature is close to 26/27 and it is scorching outside. Not to mention humidity is high. Nvidia GPUs are hot, that's also a fact. There are exceptions but in general that's that. Just use some Nvidia + i7 laptops and then compare.

Another thing is, Asus G series did not have as much cooper as AW, if im not wrong. They just use typical heat pipes from the CPU and GPU. The only advantage is, there are 2 fans in the laptop and they are quite quiet under load.

Obviously Alienware is different, the body is huge so it can take i7-920XM at 74C which is staggeringly cool - assuming your i7-920XM is Alienware.

If you are able to achieve 74C at actual full load over an extended time with i7 quad in a laptop with the normal, average size and build, i.e. no huge cooling system like Alienware, in non-air conditioned conditions, then it would be something amazing.

G73JW and G73JH may not have the exact same build and parts, this I am not sure, but in any case 2C is not a significant difference.

G73 is larger than G53 and should by default be slightly less warm even with the same cooling system and fans. Notebookcheck temperature measurements are inconsistent and not error-free. So while 78 and 67 may seem like a large difference, is errors are taken into account, the real difference may be less significant.

But I was not talking about Asus G53/73 specifically. The average laptop (Acer, Dell, Lenovo, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Sony) with i7-720QM or better will have much higher Full Load over extended period (like 1 or 2 hours) temperatures if, even if you go by Notebookcheck's reviews and data.

computing, as in web browsing, watching movies... day to day activities... its not specs alone. But when you factor in intensive stuff like gaming, video editting (especially those that do these for a living) you don't want to waste half a day rendering your videos, you dun want to play games at low0medium detail, at a low resolution. So you know... just which type of user you are.

I mean if you just do web browsing, watching movies, listening music, abit of word processing... (i know some friends that do this only) Ur better off buying a macbook air. Thin, light, durable, stylist, long battery life. Perfect!

saw some review on internet....they give a good comments and rating on XPS 15...
saw some benchmarking test....XPS js slightly bhind 4820TG....bt XPS gt a more complete package....

Dell also claimed Alienware laptop arrived after 2 weeks but most of us received the item within 10 days.
anyone that related to you is okay. identification card's number is needed to claim the item.
