yeah ofkos..

search for dram multiplier/divider or any other related term

the option is 800 / 1066 / 1333 / 1600.
have fun  icon_rolleyes.gif

Ok I got that, but my question is, since in the table the multiplier shown is eg 5.33, 6.66. What I want to know is if I want it 250x5.33, which should I choose? 1066 or 1333? 1333 right?

Sorry sir, gotta ask this, why do you time with 6.66? Why not 5.33? Can i actually choose my multiplier eg, 6.66, 5.33?
*
haha, another option for you: tongue.gif
core speed: 250 x 14 = 3500mhz
cpu nb speed: 250 x 10 = 2500mhz
dram speed: 250 x 2.67(multiplier for ddr3 1066) = 667mhz(equivalent to ddr3 1333)

Hi to all sifu,

I want to try OC my system (stable one, not so hardcore).
My current setup is:

AMD Phenom II X3 720
GIGABYTE MA770T-UD3P
6GB KVR DDR3 1333mhz
CM 212+

I try the first step OCing but hope sifu can give some advice what needed to tune.
Stock value for Vcore is 1.25v (is that too low?, what is the safety value?)
Bus Speed & HT Link is stock (is it necessary to change? if want to try to get 3.5Ghz)

Thank you so much.

well it depends smile.gif..For some chip, sometimes on stock vcore are able to obtain good oc results. Current running my Phenom II B55 @ 3.7Ghz @ stock vcore. Is your processor the Black edition or non?

micron is capable of 8-8-8 @ 18xx w/ reasonable volt (1.7xv) iirc. imo no point runnin 7-9-7 on micron, they're better off runnin @ 7-7-7 (tight timing) or 8-8-8 (lax timin). my humble 2 cents. wink.gif

i managed a poor 3.7GHz with my ex 720 b4, but volt needed was pretty ugly. in general, 720 doesn't clock as gud as b50/b55, u'd probably max out around 3.8GHz provided u got a great batch. for a 3.5GHz, u can try ht link @ 2k while crank up ya cpu-nb freq @ 2.25GHz. voltage wise i'd say around 1.35v +/- 0.02v should be suffice. smile.gif

check out my siggy bro. 3.5GHz but vcore is extremely high.

1. run ur ram @ 533 (for 1066)
2. up up bus speed to 250 (250x14)
3. ram speed will auto 666 (1333) back to normal.
4. increase a bit ur vcore around 1.4v

i dont know whether this method is good or not sweat.gif but last time try to test OCCT 1hour..run stable even unlock to X4

X3 720 stock core clock is 2.8 which lower than 3.1/3.2 instead B50/B55. that's why when push up more, B50/B55 able to handle better than X3 720

just my 2cents

2.8>3.5 = 700MHz increment
3.2>3.9 = 700MHz increment

same increment but result sure go for B55 nod.gif

imo d quality of wafer does matter apart from highly/lowly binned issue. 720 is one of d earliest batch of phenom II while 550/555(C3) are models which available more towards d end of phenom II series. regardless of how low a chip is binned (especially those with unlocked multis), it will some how do better than those made of wafer with inferior quality eventhou d latter is binned @ higher clock. smile.gif
