You sell drums stuff?

Where is your shop?

Yeah, I sell drums stuff. Either used, OR I get new from the shops here for a nice price, and I sell to you guys for more user-friendly prices.

Oh... Meaning if I direct go to the shop, will be lower than you price? Or your price is lower than the retail price?

Would anyone know where I can get a drum strainer, namely Nickel Drumworks, old Dunnett R4, or Trick? Tried JS but the one they have is not what I want.

DW's budget line is called the Performance Series. Where could I try one?

Not a BEGINNERS kit persay, but something like the Pearl Masters series in comparison with the Masterworks. A custom level series of drums, without the same amount of tweaks.

I don't think JS stocks DW, although they do bring them in if you order them.

Bentleys and JS don't have custom drums. The brands that they bring in, do custom make drums. DW, Gretsch, Tama and Pearl, for example. I think the Performance series is a good option lah, hopefully they don't skimp.

Added on February 21, 2011, 7:32 pmAnyway, I'm putting together a kit for another recording, its gonna be pretty hardcore this time round, more punchy and in your face than the other track that's in production now, more... rock.

Plans so far:

Kit:
Yamaha Brass 13x5 snare/Pork Pie Orange Acrylic 13x5.5
Tama Superstar Custom 3 rack, 2 floor w/ Evans Hydraulic

Now dilemma tongue.gif

Cymbals. I've always been a Sabian drummer, AAX and HHX, a Paragon here and there.

The other day though, I played a kit (house kit lah, endorsed by Zildjian, Tama) and the kit had A Custom mastersound hats, Mastersound ride, 2 A Crashes and an A Custom ReZo crash.

It sounded really good.

Especially the ReZo crash. None of my current cymbals have that kind of impact.

Yes, I love my Sabians through and through, but after playing that set, now it feels like my Sabian setup is missing something. I need something with that power, with that boom, with that... ReZonance. tongue.gif

So now I don't know what to do. tongue.gif

And anyway, this is my current cymbal set-up lah, for reference sake. xD

From close to far, okay?
Closest: Sabian AAX Stage Ride 20', Sabian AAXplosion 15' crash, Sabian AAX Stage Crash 16', Sabian AAX Studio Crash 14' (studio's), Sabian HHX Stage Hats 14', Sabian Paragon 22' (not near kit).

I mainly use the AAXs and the HHX lah.

No lah tongue.gif The Paragon is a ride biggrin.gif I'm not so much into big crashes, I usually go 18' maximum! But usually 14's-17's because club/pub/hotel gigs if you use huge crashes it doesn't blend. smile.gif
