I was reading somewhere that stock firmware is faster than those with TouchWiz ? how true is that? two seconds to launch dialer is really getting on my nerves.

every time I press something see PU shows that the processor goes 100% for 2 seconds.. *sads whats the point of 1ghz if it cant multi task ?

Thus like i said.. JPK memang got bad GPS... as around ppl using JPK.. they will notice it... very obvious!!
But once o go back to jph or dxjp1.... all is ok.

Do we need to backup before we root or update to froyo?

Use the lagfix everything become instant,lol

Root using Odin and update to Froyo -> Highly recommended esp if u want to restore ur apps. (Odin removes all ur apps while flashing)

Word of caution on Titanium Backup
- if u plan to up from eclair to froyo or vice versa.... titanium backup will screw up ur phone.
- my advice, use mybackup pro

If rootvia adb - no need backup as it does remove/clear ur apps.

to install papago need to hv external micro SD?

Help me guys...i can't seem to root my phone. i did try the recovery steps "volume down+power button+menu button" andd now it's stuck at the android digging the ground with the do not turn off target. for half and hour. Help me !!! What should i do ?

you are entering download mode dude...
u should go to recovery mode which is "volume up+ menu+power" then apply update.zip

hi all....i using kies to update my galaxy s to JPH version...all the thing is fine just the contact list on the right hand site,there have some bugs the the A to Z not fully show on the screen...one more thing is when i turn on wifi,will always disconnect...anybody got this problem and how to slove??thanks for help..

Jpk is really nice except the keyboard cant cap lock and gps problem.

you will need to long press the Caps Lock button to activate caps lock bro..

hold the shift button, it will change to caps
