QUOTE(Bap3 @ Oct 5 2010, 09:29 PM) u come from what platform?...i come from symbian and java-based hp..so this is my first time on android..my opinion..it's a blast!!! Yeah..i come from a Symbian base phone. Nokia E72 to be precise. So this papago or if there are any other applications ..is it free navigation? something like ovi maps? Paid for application but when navigating is free ? Cause i travel to alot of places alot. And is this model suffering from GPS issues ? Oh and applications....are they as many as Java based? And may i know the latest price for ori and AP set ? Thx pros and cons..read it from link below (credit to mengsuan http://mengsuan.blogspot.com/2010/09/samsu...000-review.html today technology doesn't have future proof my friend..ur just need to keep catching up with the gadgets..but to date..SGS is the most powerful interm of hardware wise right now garmin don't support android platform..but we have other stand alone navigator like papago ( paid ones!!) good luck in making decision!!! QUOTE(silentser @ Oct 10 2010, 12:49 AM) i dont quite understand your problem.... you cant get the computer to detect the phone? but you managed to transfer the .csv to the phone? What i did was i transfered the .csv file which was originally from my Nokia E72, and into MY Galaxy via Bluetooth. I did this was because when i plug my USB into the com, the phone can not be detected, it tries to install the driver but fails halfway through. I did as u told me, so the .csv file which is in my phone now, i place it into the /sd folder inside and the root folder...but still cannot update when i enter into contacts and try to import it. i get a "Scanning SD card Failed"since you already have the .csv in your phone, just go to the contacts -> menu button -> import/export -> import from sd card you dont need to use the computer if you already have the .csv in your phone to get your phone detect by the computer, install kies, plug your phone in, let it install the driver first. then go to about phone > usb setting > storage plug the usb again, then slide down your notification bar, and choose mount no Vcard found on the SD card" QUOTE(Bap3 @ Oct 10 2010, 12:59 AM) set your phone usb connection to ask on connection..once u plugged in you micro usb to your pc..a sound will appear..and go to your phone..drag the notification down..and select copy file to/from your computer...ur pc will install the necessary drivers...then you should able to transfer the csv contacts to your phone then.. Like i mention above, i install Kies via download from a website because it failed to install on my phone when i plug my hp in. It does not detect my phone. |

Hey guys...noob question, is the froyo 2.2 out and is it worth updating it ? I read from XDA forums that some ppl says it makes it worse... so kinda hesitant to update it. BTW... is the GPS problem fix already ? Can we have a proper lock from point A to point B and is it accurate ?
