my gf bought this phone last week, i think its an AP set she bought, came with Froyo I9000ZSJP2, puzzles me cause as far as i know Galaxy S should be in Android 2.1 rather than Android 2.2. Latest Kies tend to be problematic with this phone

not a second hand phone though, i can say this is true where they flash the phone in this case. however what i am seeing on my gf handphone is that it is pretty much a workable phone. She's happy with the apps

Hello guys,i got some question here...
Firstly,if i want to root my phone(Singtel set) without voiding my phone warranty can i follow this tutorial?

http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/showthread...ng-the-Galaxy-S

Can i install this apps without rooting my phone?
http://www.appbrain.com/app/ryanzas-oclf-2....QuickFixLagFix

After applying the root and lagfix, and the android 2.2 is released officially, can i just update the 2.2 using Kies without unrooting and uninstall the lagfix?

yes, you can, but first i recommend you check if you have a phone with that enable or disable recovery/download mode.

try to enter the recovery by volume up+home+power button, try 2 or 3 times by making sure your really press and hold the button correctly, if you are able to get into recovery mode, then go on with the step from the website.

no you cant install without root.
yes you can update without unrooting,
pratically yes you can update without uninstall the lagfix but it really really not recommend to do that,
