Lol.yeah.. i just realise that. Thanks anyway. What does the download do anyway and why does it take so long ?
*
download mode is mainly for flashing firmware using Odin3.
it does not take so long..the screen will be remain like that until you reboot it
for example if u try to flash firmware,u need to go to download mode and then start flashing ur firmware using Odin3. after finish flashing, ti will automatically reboot ur phone..

in short, the screen is normal in download mode..hope u get what i mean

I saw a guy bring his SGS to lowyat for fixing before. that is because his SGS screen is cracked. Dunno how it happens but it does happens. So try anything not normal. Just treat it as a glass. that way it will be safer.

of course its breakable ..its even scratchable...like in the video where he use cutter to cut the screen doh.gif i mean its still a glass screen..its just stronger
and its strong enough for daily routine damage. like slip out of hand or pocket..or mixing keys and coins in the same pocket....nothing extreme like cutting it laugh.gif doh.gif

I've read somewhere that SGS do indeed has glass screen. Just that, film makers still able to squeeze some quick cash out of us owners whom willing to pay a little extra just to protect the screen which we thought was fragile.

Like wise on a friend's iPhone4, which he spent RM79 for the screen protector.

The Korean video reminds me the days of iPhone3 biggrin.gif

Unfortunately, our home button is so prone to scratches.

It would be nice if they started the video recording prior to the dropping test. biggrin.gif

How to remove those apps by singtel?
*
1) Make sure you have save your data (files, sms, contacts, etc.) properly backed up.
2) Press *#272*HHMM# (HHMM refers to the time on your device in 24hrs format when you entered this code).
3) Select XSP and click on the "Install" button.
4) Your phone will reboot & do a wipe on itself.
5) Enjoy your Galaxy S without SingTel's customizations.
