i use " Screebl Lite" to save the battery life. it seems like it turned off the system off based the angle how you hold the phone...and this can be done in their setting. you guys should check that app
Added on October 4, 2010, 9:38 pm QUOTE(dannyng @ Oct 4 2010, 09:27 PM) Hi, installing that app now. can set between 2G and 3G instantly is it?You should try to install 'Quick Setting'. I can easily switch from 2G to 3G and disable Mobile Data (when I'm roaming) etc... Cheers.. how to use Tethering with SGS? i never use it before. QUOTE(emino @ Oct 4 2010, 10:07 PM) works like a charm at least itll save my battery! how about tethering? how to use tethering with this phone bro? i never use it yet and no idea how to use it. Added on October 4, 2010, 10:16 pm QUOTE(qwen234 @ Oct 4 2010, 10:04 PM) i change it to 2g.. i tried connecting to internet.. it says i do nt have internet connection its probably really slow. try to update your social apps like facebook or feeds and news...it does work..only slower..using the above methods switches data off entirely however.. if set frm the settings to gsm.. it does work using Edge Added on October 4, 2010, 10:18 pm QUOTE(qwen234 @ Oct 4 2010, 10:04 PM) i change it to 2g.. i tried connecting to internet.. it says i do nt have internet connection oh dont block the APN. click "using GSM only" avoid using " automatically CDMA or GSM" cuz itll go to 3g anyway with that optionusing the above methods switches data off entirely however.. if set frm the settings to gsm.. it does work This post has been edited by hxcpride: Oct 4 2010, 10:18 PM |

QUOTE(emino @ Oct 4 2010, 10:20 PM) There are two ways. One is by connecting your phone using the USB cable and select Internet whatever from the menu (if you set it to select which mode). gonna try it now The other is using Mobile AP and turning your phone into mini hotspot. I prefer mobile AP, since 3G watchdog can still watch your usage when you use it as opposed to the other one. |

QUOTE(silentser @ Oct 4 2010, 10:47 PM) USB tethering, plug in the usb, tick usb tethering in wireless and network trying to use AP or tethering...either it says password is wrong or connection timed out....( made my own name and password ) and i check it ..i didnt misspelled my password..hmm Mobile AP, set the password and all of that, turn it on, connect at laptop, PROFIT!! both of the method will make your phone heat up, when do tethering or mobile AP, i always open the back cover, you can feel lil bit hot near the speaker. Added on October 4, 2010, 10:50 pm from the way you say it, i kinda have a theory of what happen. you do know that the battery indicator kinda messed up sometimes? (look it up, keyword: SGS battery indicator wrong) maybe the way you charging it make the phone think it got more power than it should have, maybe at 30% or so you phone could go kaput suddenly (finish battery) this is just my theory though |

QUOTE(ameeru_aniki @ Oct 5 2010, 12:36 AM) it's good.. but u will realise that u cannot up ur Busybox later, so i suggest use the old method... everything works out GREAT someone has explained it.... my suggestion, DON'T use USB Tethering, as if u use 3G watchdog cannot collect the data usage while USB tethering/Using Kies. Netcounter can collect the data, but not so accurate. To move icons. It the apps windows, click menu and press edit. Press n Hold the icon u wanna move, and drag to whereu want it to be. Walla, done. BTW if u press the icon, the option is to uninstall the app... |
