Is the SGS available from retail shops now? Don't want to buy from Maxis.

zagg is useless, had that for my omnia 2, itll turn yellow after awhile..

nope...just use free apps from market i recommend GPS test or GPS status..get this apps to lock down the sats..once it is done..close apps and open papago..your papago will lock faster because it'd saved the previous gps data from last application....

it main purpose is to counter lagging issue in SGS...but also it can improve GPS locking time...applying voodoo will void your warranty...but there is ways to undone it..please read in link i gave to you...in FAQ sections..

other method to counter lagginess probs is install One Click Lagfix...search it in market..hope this info will help u a lot..

A friend of mine with an AP SGS just cracked his Gorilla glass (dropped the phone onto metal stud on ground or something). He had ordered the replacement online and installed it himself. He told me that the local shop in Penang offered to do replacement for RM400 or so..

I experienced that before. Are you using any autokiller? I use OCLF autokiller. Maybe that is why.

1) Make sure you have save your data (files, sms, contacts, etc.) properly backed up.
2) Press *#272*HHMM# (HHMM refers to the time on your device in 24hrs format when you entered this code).
3) Select XSP and click on the "Install" button.
4) Your phone will reboot & do a wipe on itself.
5) Enjoy your Galaxy S without SingTel's customizations.

My pretty AMOLED broke. Dunno how it happened, maybe bumped it while it was in my pocket. The Gorilla glass in front is scratchless, nothing happened to it, but the LCD behind is broken.

Any chance of getting it repaired in warranty, else anyone knows roughly how much it will cost me?

im not sure about that, but they can always track that your phone is a singtel set judging from your Imei number. and makes your SGS un-lag!

I'm using SGP Oleophobic for my sgs. Real good, can clearly see the quality of Super AMOLED after applied it. No rainbow effect...I got it from Jason, perhaps you can find him from this forum and enquire abt the sp. He helped me with the sp installation.
