I experienced that before. Are you using any autokiller? I use OCLF autokiller. Maybe that is why.

Asking on behalf of my newbie friend... is there any way to shut down mobile data transfer? She over-used data and her phone bill is RM 500++ o.O"

Thanks!

1st. advice her to install 3G watchdog, this is to monitor data usage(but don't rely it on 100%, at least u can monitor your usage, perhaps u can stop yourself from using when reaches bout 90%)
2nd. install APNDroid(both obtainable from market, free apps) , this is an apps that allow you to disable your data TOTALLY. this apps is also able to work with 3g watchdog, u can set your usage @ 500mb per month, then APNDroid will auto disable your data for the rest of the month.

hope this helps

I have both data plan n broadband from maxis. While maxis can monitor my broadband usage, many said maxis have no way to monitor our data usage.
I take that as a bs. They are just business minded people with ideas to make more money. Just be careful there n keep that in mind.
I'm just being sarcastic  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

heard a lot evil stories bout maxis, they are evil until that extend? O.O
