jg4 is slow catching up the satellites....try apps GPS status or GPS test on market...before u use navi apps...search for satellites using this apps i mentioned before..once u got the lock up...close those apps and open up navi apps..it should be able to connect....or use voodoo lagfix...it will improve your gps locking time...

nope...just use free apps from market i recommend GPS test or GPS status..get this apps to lock down the sats..once it is done..close apps and open papago..your papago will lock faster because it'd saved the previous gps data from last application....

it main purpose is to counter lagging issue in SGS...but also it can improve GPS locking time...applying voodoo will void your warranty...but there is ways to undone it..please read in link i gave to you...in FAQ sections..

other method to counter lagginess probs is install One Click Lagfix...search it in market..hope this info will help u a lot..    

Is the SGS available from retail shops now? Don't want to buy from Maxis.

I'm using SGP Oleophobic for my sgs. Real good, can clearly see the quality of Super AMOLED after applied it. No rainbow effect...I got it from Jason, perhaps you can find him from this forum and enquire abt the sp. He helped me with the sp installation.

i'm using a simple clear square protector on the camera lens. came with the sgp oleophobic screen protector. make sure when you buy the SP it comes with the camera lens protector as there's been reports that it did not come with it.
