QUOTE(kr4k3n @ Aug 22 2011, 12:52 PM) hello all. i just going for interview where they ask me what is my expected salary. so i tell them 1.8k.at the end of the interview, they said i got the job. today, they call me asking me that graduate engineer salary range is 2k - 2.5k. they ask me again what is my expected salary. im nervous at that the time so i told them my expected salary is 2.3k. later, they ask me to complete the application form thru email. now, the application form also ask the expected salary. i thought i want to put 2.5k, because it is negotiable right? but im afraid they will view me as someone who can make the decision well. i mean 'takda pendirian' should i go with 2.3k or put 2.5k What is the use of "Pendirian yang telalu Kuat" that ends of loosing the job? Everything is open for negotiation. It is not paku belanda.

QUOTE(Myth3fy @ Aug 24 2011, 07:16 PM) he dont ask me question, but firstly he ask me how to draw basic circuit diagram of power supply. Thats easy, I had to do a whole series of circuits. Even had to go through a test, as in a two A4 page document filled with engineering questions and diagrams to draw out. Of course there were easy ones like drawing a RC and CR circuit

QUOTE(OKLY @ Aug 10 2011, 05:09 PM) To all HR and employees, have you ever come across a question whereby the interviewer asks "Career, Job Satisfaction or Money?". What are some good examples of answering this kind of question where you have to pick one and give an intelligent reason? I'll pick job satisfaction... if only allow to pick one... something to do with passion ma... that's what get you going indirectly.

Need to write a short essay from a few topics - this is one of it and I choosed it. My POV is job satisfaction is more important than the salary. But, I'm not from the HR, so don't really know what's their ideal answer.

I dont see any reason why you trade it for a serious face to attend interview. I was just wondering who gives you the idea that you had to hold a serious face for interview?

i personally think that the whole interview session is overrated. Just be yourself but at the same time know how to behave and act decently. Do's and Don'ts during interview are just common sense. Treat others as how you want to be treated. just my 2cents.

QUOTE(TommyTan @ Sep 7 2011, 02:09 PM) just be yourself. but please dont smile if you are asked a question and you answer "i dunno lol" Agree. Depending on the type of interviews, you might actually get several questions to which no one could possibly have an answer - like how many golf balls you can fit into an airplane, etc. I don't think that it would be a good idea to be grinning when faced with these questions. Best to keep your composure and make an educated guess and explain your reasoning.

QUOTE(faceless @ Nov 2 2011, 11:50 AM) Yah and please define air plane too. The answer can be obtained through volumetric calculation provided we know if it is a jumbo jet, concorde, 747 ... I'm not saying it's impossible to answer, I'm just saying that it isn't something you can just pull out of your head in a few seconds. So you'll just have to make an educated guess and make estimates. Unless of course you are capable of making better than average mental calculations.

QUOTE(sapapa @ Nov 3 2011, 05:57 PM) My interview lastest 3-4 mins and 2 questions were asked. Is that a good sign? A face to face interview or a phone interview ? Maybe it was a preliminary interview or something ? But honestly even for a phone interview it seems really short. Best is you try asking other candidates who have gone for the same interview for comparison.

QUOTE(sapapa @ Nov 3 2011, 05:57 PM) My interview lastest 3-4 mins and 2 questions were asked. Is that a good sign? definitely not a good sign for me. Sounds like the interviewer is not interested in u, but I always give equal opportunity to all candidate because every interview has P&C form to fill and comments to file for record. U applied for job out of ur qualifications?
