guys, any idea what second interview is about?? just got a call for 2nd interview...

i met the HR guy and the manager himself.

It depend who you meet at the first interview? If you have meet the HR only for the first time then most likely you will meet the department head this time. Sometimes you can meet both the HR and Department Head for the first interview. In this case you will meet a higher authority say GM.

In your case you had general character assessment by HR and technical assessment by the Manager. This time around the higher authority will do general assessment. It is just a formality because the assessment had already been check by the HR. You can expect the same question you get from the HR guy on the first interview.

hi, i have been called up for an interview last Friday. In the phone,
she asked: can you come for an interview next week?
I said: im still having final exam, can we make it next 2 weeks?
she said: ok. 9th May. we set 10 am.
I said: can I confirm with you by tomorrow?
she said: i 'll drop u an email.

so in the next day,
i replied: 9th May I will be available in the afternoon 3-5pm. Thank you.

am I too rude????

Recently, i did see most of the job ads requiring/prefering candidates who are chinese literate in terms of spoken and written  For those who are english /malay ed, does that mean chances are low for you to be shortlisted? Is there any hope for us malay/eng ed folks in searching for a job nowadays?

Yes, its still minority but when it comes to interview, their feedback to this would be, " things would have gone better if u know how to read and write chinese,". which means is a bonus and perhaps you may get 97% chance to be shortlisted among the others who are also chinese ed.

The first interview is by the recruiters...so big possibility that the recruiter oli send the resume to the company aft the first interview...

If i was asked

'When is the soonest you can start work?'
'Can you start work earlier than the date you mentioned?'
And the interviewer talks about some of the company benefits ...

During the 2nd interview.... but they never mentioned that they are hiring me.... does those questions means anything?

Basically how to write a thank you letter right after the interview? Can I just simply use this sentence:

"Dear XXX Sdn Bhd, I wish to thank you for the interview invitation today, hope to hear some good news from the management,

Best regards,
MY NAME"

any other ideas? TIA
