Got 3 questions I seem to have trouble answering

1) What's your plan for the future?
2) What motivates you?
3) How do you deal with stress?
*
1) Sounds like a personal question to me. If you're an adult with a family, you can go along the lines "Help fund my kids tuition fees, secure a future for them". If you're single, maybe talk about sticking to a commitment such as a house.

2) Another personal question. Reply what motivates you. Is it a certain drink? Listening to music? Taking a stroll? You can't go wrong with most answers, but of course steer away from controversial things like drugs.

3) Similar to #2.

Thks for reply, sorry I should elaborate further the questions are more work related cause the job I applied for has a lot of OT involved. So #2 & #3 should be:

2) What motivates you to work?
3) How do you deal with stress at work?

ask yourself what give you a sense of satisfaction in work.

of course the salary is one of them, sure fair enough.

but is there any deeper value?

e.g. if doctor, then saving patients, if you e&e engineer, then is seeing the products go to market etc.

If you find it difficult, maybe you can engage in exercises that nurture self awareness such as meditation.

For strength, just mention what trait best defines you. Organized, good team player, kaki jilat, etc.

Weakness, use a case study and shift it towards the positive side. For instance, you might procrastinate but you have tried adopting a mini to-do list and rewarding oneself by completing it.

I don’t understand y big company ask so many questions during interview. Buat suspense only. Especially those asking question r HR or senior level staff, as if they know what they doing. Aso Monday wait Friday nia. In the end still same thing. Small company just say when can start?

Thank you...This is really helpful...hahaha....I got this question asked frequently...

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Normally i'll tell them about my plans and I make sure my plans wun venture away from the job I am applying or makes them sound like I'll juz be working with them in short term....

Is this the proper way?

Haha, I totally get what you mean! The way you’re answering is actually a good strategy. You want to show that you have long-term plans but also that you’re committed to the role you’re applying for. By tying your goals with the company’s growth, you give the impression that you’re planning to grow with them rather than jump ship after a while. As long as you're being honest and showing that you're dedicated, you're on the right track! It’s all about finding the balance between your personal ambitions and showing your interest in the role.
