QUOTE(Kel89 @ Jul 21 2011, 03:47 PM) Btw, I saw some post a while back saying that it is best to write "Negotiable" on the interview form rather than giving a figure. Is this the right way?? Care to share any wisdom? Well, if it is really negotiable, then its negotiable. If not, just write down what you expect. But like Joey said, if you just write negotiable, then "an unanswered question shall remained as an unanswered question". So, why not write something like "RM3000 negotiable"? Just like when you are advertising to sell you car, RM30,000 ono.

The entire process may take some time. You will still end up temporary working for the company that had firm up the job with you. So, it will come a time you decide to go and be face with the same scenario.

Jnls, In that case I think you can go for the interview and start negotiating salary. They already know what you are capable of from your internship period with them. That is why they are calling you.

To all HR and employees, have you ever come across a question whereby the interviewer asks "Career, Job Satisfaction or Money?". What are some good examples of answering this kind of question where you have to pick one and give an intelligent reason?

When there is no intelligent answer dont answer but go around it (ie talk cock "intelligently")

Hello there, Can you share with me what will be your best shot to answer this "Why should we hire you?" say you are applying for credit analyst position and you don't have any working experience. I haven't read all the posts in this thread so please excuse me if I am asking another repeated question. Thank in advance

Thank in advance Hi ImNoMeleane, the best answer is to know what are your skills and strengths and then try to relate to the job that you've applied. And read more about the position so you can understand the nature of the job.

I have read about credit analyst and the more I read about it the more hopeless I became. It's going to be a very busy and complicated job, but as long as I like it, I think I am gonna be okay. Anyway, thank you spacemonkeh for your response.

QUOTE(jnls @ Jul 28 2011, 07:47 PM) d offer letter stated tat I wil report in on 1 of aug, I js afraid tat I would offend d company tat had offer job to me while dis company ask for interview is d company tat I did my internship 2 years ago..n I dun even hold 100% if d internship boss wil hire me back.. If you haven't signed the offer letter then technically you haven't accepted the job yet. Personally if you have signed the offer letter, ethically it's quite bad to lie just to go for the other interview. If you can try to negotiate to start one day later. But I know companies that do blacklist candidates who signed the offer letter but then decide to leave because they received another job offer elsewhere. Same goes for contracting agencies as well.

hello all. i just going for interview where they ask me what is my expected salary. so i tell them 1.8k.at the end of the interview, they said i got the job. today, they call me asking me that graduate engineer salary range is 2k - 2.5k. they ask me again what is my expected salary. im nervous at that the time so i told them my expected salary is 2.3k. later, they ask me to complete the application form thru email. now, the application form also ask the expected salary. i thought i want to put 2.5k, because it is negotiable right? but im afraid they will view me as someone who can make the decision well. i mean 'takda pendirian' should i go with 2.3k or put 2.5k

I guess you can try asking for RM2.5k as expected but when the real job offer comes, the company can still offer you lower.
