I went to ENG HUAT in Taiping this afternoon to buy the roof rubber lining/ roof rubber moulding/ roof rubber railing, whatever the name is(the black rubber on the roof).
I told them i wanted the part and pointed to my wira sedan, i asked him is there any difference between models and he said only got difference between sedan and hatchback, no difference between models of different year. Is it true? or he dont know his stuff .
Now im back in penang and i try to figure it out how to fit it onto my wira and it seems that the clips are not right. can anyone share on this. when you found out the answer d do share.. my wira one side gone d also.. clip pecah dunno why.. but i didnt know it cost freagin RM200 just for it.. any 2nd hand one selling ?

you can't just put the lining in. need to scrape the old glue that stuck in your car body then need to apply new glue also. got diff between left and right, maybe you take the wrong side?

confirm i got correct side , i put at both side try.i didn't see glue though, i only see clips, which my clips are different. i will try go mech and see. Maybe its different year from my car if the bugger in eng huat told me wrongly. if different anyone wants: mango 27 yours what year

Penang dont have shop sell the rubber part?why so expensive? My friend told me the rubber part price around 6x for one side..

I was in Taiping, so i went to buy because i thought small town would be cheaper, i did not try penang shops. can you provide us with shop names selling 6x. Is it in Penang?

I went to my usual mech, he said he dunno how to install and asked body panel guy to come and he just slammed it on, damn him he broke the clips. They were purple and blue clips in that looks like this shape \_/ from the bottom. He ruined it. The old man said he did could not fix it and he asked me to go to the car auto glass shop near komtar.
I went to the shop, it is opposite Tai Huat Hardware store. I told him my situation, he asked me i buy ori or oem parts, i told him ori, he said drive over and let him see. After he see, he said "aiya why u didn't buy from us, he said the clips are broken dy, we very proffesional one pot pet pot pet pot pet pot pet...". He then said have to replace the red clips(The red ones which are original). He said each clip is rm2, he said got 6 clips(the one near the rear window and the front window). He then inside the shop and asked the other tauke which i presume is partner how much, i heard the other tauke mumbling rm 5/ clip, and he came back to me and quoted me rm 40 for the process to install including gam. I was like so expensive. But what the heck i already buy. I felt kena cheated sekejap say rm 2/clip and then i accidentally heard rm 5/clip.
After 1 hour i came back and ....it was so hot i just browsed through, and i paid an old man (his father i guess). The old man said..."just now when we replace, got a few clips pecah and we had to buy new ones for you pot pet pot pet pot pet..." i was like you quoted me rm40 and thats it, you gonna ask more i'm going to report tribunal"
Tonight after come back, i go see and they gam the rubber to my body panel, tahan or not i cannot tell yet, it seems like it didn't gam to mirror, im not sure how it works, can someone share whether their rubber got gam to their mirror or not. I tell you guys later on how it work.

Guys,yesterday I just wash my radiator and pour in 350ml coolant..and the tauke of the radiator service workshop saying that my radiator not suppose to got bubble..it indicate that my engine gasket maybe burnt..besides that,it is abnormal that radiator "pecut" water out from the pipe beside the cap..which gasket he is refering to? engine head gasket?

Get it check on the cause of the problems....

Can any sifu in lyn wira teach me about my situation. Yesterday night when driving half way suddenly my car clock and front light faded and showed icon of battery. The battery is new, GP magma wet battery, used few monthes. Usually i plug in my garmin GPS and charging my nokia phone or ipad using my hot charger. Will it reduce my battery power co i thought car will recharge the car battery back itself? After i installed my previous car battery, it can be started however my car sometimes dead once with the oil signal shown out. Any help or suggestion?

Added on March 13, 2011, 6:28 pmhi bro, seems like ur alternator got problem.. to confirm, start ur engine. when engine idle, disconnect the negative terminal of ur battery. if engine still running, ur alternator ok. if engine die, ur alternator got problem.

also, do check wheter all ur fuse are tighten properly.

btw, i have see a shop where it can repair the alternator. they replace the carbon brush. but i have no idea how much it cost..

wat engine oil rating r u using ? ?

I've fixed mine btw , but more info would be great for other brothers at LYN wira club, any kangtao for tinting or not in penang? Cheap budget like rm 100, had 200 for budget but now fix this stupid rubber seal thing no budget dy T.T

yeah, what engine oil viscosity you using?
the oil keep lessen by the time or the oil just low?
if lessen by the time then surely got problem. will need top overhaul or full overhaul.
if you got extra cash, better go for full overhaul coz since you just bought the car you don't know what damage have happen inside the engine. with full overhaul you'll get at least few years of trouble free engine.

Age of car ? If near or already 10 years, no record of overhaul, then do it or be sorry later

Normally how much it cost to do top overhaul?

Top should cost rm500-800 while full is rm1300-2000...
Sad, even after full overhaul the engine still noisy....
Still looking for the actual cause of failure....
