Logically it should because you have more torque to move the car
Unless you wanna maintain roadtax of RM90, get a 1.6
*
how much does a 1.8 roadtax cost?

anyhow, got a question... my spark plug burns easily n needed to replace like every service,5k km... anyone have any idea why is it so?

hmm... was planning to get 4g93... is there anyway to endorse it for changing from 1.3? i heard u can change max 25% of current capacity right?

if i change to 4g93, what else would i need to change? Brake, suspension and etc? normally halfcut price include ECU and dashboard?

Yes, engine conversion should not be more than 25% from original engine.

4G93 half cut consisting everything from head to dashboard, gearbox and braking system. Correct me if I'm wrong though sweat.gif
*
ya i know its 25% cry.gif
but is JPJ more strict now? Runner can get the job done? if yes any contacts for runner?

Braking system included? But my friend ask me to change brake system myself... maybe it depends on the half cut shop as well... Someone quote me price b4 but without gearbox even... While a fren of mine change halfcut even the aircond compressor included... So where to find good deal of half cut shops?

just plan a 1.6 enof..
cheaper roadtax(rm90 only.. y pay more?), and more economy(FC lower)..
1.8 is powerful 8 only slightly different wif 1.6..
u ask runner also cost u few hundreds d.. safe the money to get iridium plug n hks plug cables + drop in air filter.. n u will never regrets =)
take good care of ur engine then ur 1.6 will own a 1.8 normal spec..
tis is wat i think, n i am driving a 1.6 now!! awesome performance!! =)

juz my 2cent.. correct me if i am wrong..

very true... but fren poison say 1.3 to 1.8 feel big difference... blush.gif
u using 4g92 right? where you change? from halfcut shop? workmanship good? price ok? can intro? and what it include? dashboard etc? so many questions tongue.gif
my fren change his 4g93 few months ago complain till now... workmanship problem... dont want to end up like him...

Good year I suppose, at least its age only 5 years.

There are two things needed for the car to be on a road : 'maintenance' and 'repair'.

Maintenance, or so called service is one you should be doing for every 4,000-5,000 km, send for service, changing engine oil. Some requires only once after 3-4 times of services, like brake fluid, gear oil, power steering oil, clean air filter, etc.

Repair is one replacing the wear and tear product like battery, brake pads, absorbers, tires, and all the things that is old, damaged and needed to be replaced or fixed.
*
i know there is a batch of wira SE with rear disc break... which year was it?
how often should tune the car? see mood? hehe...

what is the use of cleaning fuel injector btw? my fren working in proton edar say no need clean one wor...

cleaning the throttle body is part of the routine service. so, no harm and clean it and see if it helps..
if that doesnt help.. probably need to check other things liao..
*
no harm? i dunno why, everytime after cleaning my TB, engine knocking sound gets louder... maybe coz TB cleaning time they rev they engine like crazy? how to fix knocking sound? tappet alignment enough?

Yes I believe tappet alignment. Enough or not enough I'm not sure, but better get it done first since you like to rev like crazy brows.gif Don't want to end up like me, tappet loosen and stranded. Need to go back all the way from Sepang to Puchong at 20kmph only. Arrive at workshop, mechanics came so quick, just like an ambulance arrive at hospital. laugh.gif
*
haha.. then its ok for me... im from puchong and drive around puchong only... since got ambulance mechanic then no worries d... how much tappet alignment cost?

tis morning start car, heard cat screaming sound from engine bay. got sounds too. quickly turn off engine.... slowly open bonnet....looked inside...
luckily no dead cat corpse. the cat somehow must have jumped out n away while i got out the car.

anyway, lots of cat fur inside near my pulleys. and...check this out... my power steering belt fell on the floor. poor cat must have got a leg stuck there or something, until can cause the entire belt to dislocate and land on the ground. since i dun have enough tools to retension the pulleys, i had to tumpang car to work tdy sad.gif pek cek!
*
i still dunno how cats can climb into engine bay... cats are so big... rats i know can go in easily...

*
im using c-west bumper too... welcome to the club... hehe... its nice... even my gf disagree of me changing front bumper at first, likes it now... but i burrowed my car to a friend, he return the car with a big scratch on it without compensating it vmad.gif vmad.gif

why my headlight not so bright anymore???

my battery just about 1 yr old + water still ok.

get VS with grounding cables...

QUOTE(wailup @ Nov 11 2010, 09:04 PM)
im using it right now. believe it or not, it's up to you loh..
yes. for me is 100% city drive (previously).
now, 200km highway drive, the leftover is city drive.
93t is year 96 de.. (if im not mistaken), but no worry, coz, the jap.. usually 'potong' their car below 100k.. (i dunno how many years they use it)
and i believe we still have 200km to go, until we kena any major service to the engine.

a copy from wiki about 4g93 engine variants.

hmmm... through automotive garage, rebuild cost bout 5k... but half cut engine like 4g92 itself cost at least 5k... saw 1 around 6k... workmanship will cost like another 1k... but half cut definitely better in terms of improved performance... anywhere i can find good and cheap half cut?

How's the driving ? Got bumpy feeling or not ? If too big, to me better change one pair, for safety.

WTA, if ATF due date for service soon, but my engine oil service still got another 4k. If I wait to service ATF along with engine oil later, can ? Or preferable do it now ?
*
no bumpy feeling... just can see one lump there... the lump maybe 3 - 4cm diameter, does it consider big? its at the side of the tyre...

hey...

Q1: wanna ask lah..is there any particular batch or year-made of wira that is problematic and that i shud stay away from if i'm buying a second hand wira?...

Q2: and..is it recommendable for me to buy a second hand wira with auto gear for city use?..

am currently considering between kancil and wira.. smile.gif pls advise me about the above 2 questions.
*
Q1: every car got own problem one la... since you buying 2nd hand one, by the time u buy, whatever problem that should occur would be changed by the previous owner d one... and even if there are a problematic batch, a careful owner's car would be better than a ignorant owner's car by the time u get it...

Q2: you asking to choose between Wira and Kancil in PWC abit obvious u'll get 1 answer only right?! so i would be diff and say go for kancil.. can park illegally anywhere you want... even on divider... thumbup.gif

worst case scenario is tayar letup! your tyre still can last 6 months! i got mine punctured from the bottom, through the sidewall (cant tampal watsoever, change new one)... that tyre was only 1 week old!!!!!!! who is more 'pi**' off... tell me lo...  vmad.gif

*
why u say can last 6 months ?! the lump is not obvious and its at the side... hopefully will be fine la... change it 6 months time then... letup within 6 months i die then come back and haunt you...
