Noisy like how noisy ? Maybe it is tappet alignment. My case last time, I did an overhaul but did not came back there for tappet alignment. Then some time later, tappet goner, engine gone and overhaul again, at which should have engine transplant instead. But back then, I'm a total noob and in need to use the car, so no problem.

Latest update on my engine... looks like is the engine oil pump problem... The gear that drive's the pump loose. When attach to the shaft, it got some free play... This is the only part that fellow never check..... If really because of this. For nothing he have to crane the engine up 1 more time and I have to suffer another 2-3 days....

Case by case I would say? Because certain parts I will buy my self while certain I'll let my foreman buy... Because when got problem, he have to be held responsible for that.

Hey guys, i have a prob,
I went to ENG HUAT in Taiping this afternoon to buy the roof rubber lining/ roof rubber moulding/ roof rubber railing, whatever the name is(the black rubber on the roof).
I told them i wanted the part and pointed to my wira sedan, i asked him is there any difference between models and he said only got difference between sedan and hatchback, no difference between models of different year. Is it true? or he dont know his stuff .
Now im back in penang and i try to figure it out how to fit it onto my wira and it seems that the clips are not right. can anyone share on this. Problem now if cannot fix have to bring back to Taiping or is there anyone who wants, it looks like this http://www.lelong.com.my/wira-saloon-roof-...0-09-Sale-P.htm

Thanks for reply, what do you mean by using better quality metal? How many types of extractor there is? Sorry I'm new to this.

i just changed my 16-yr old exhaust to hotbits extractor & mid section... didn't put on dyno, but butt-dyno feeling more powerful; with the price of exhaust sound being a little bit more noisier...
the problem of "cacat 3-speed auto which always give a pain in the ass with high-rpm style engine braking when accelerator is released" is reduced quite a lot... the car can "roll" further after accelerator is released...
previously when need more power out from this old junk, i would switch off the aircond compressor... but after changing the extractor & mid section, no longer need to use this lame method...
the price is not at cheap side (to me)... you can check at speedworks website...
part quality and workmanship is good... although i need to wait for >3 weeks for the manufacturing of the extractor because the model for wira was sold out and their orders were piling up due to Chinese New Year long shutdown...
anyhow, i would suggest change the whole thing from front to end... i am keeping the rear section (maybe temporary smile.gif) because have to fetch kids with this car...

haha.. becoz most of the ah beng like to modify their exhaust without thinking the consequences.. they juz wan style..
they choose custom made which is cheaper.. so many exhaust shop still stand strong as custom made 1 they earn alot by juz cincai combine few steel pipe and their cost is cheap. they earn more if compare to branded 1.. boom ur wallet.. nod.gif
for me, i wish i could get somethings that can increase power and at the same time improve FC.. sweat.gif
sounds impossible? doh.gif

Hotbits already increase price, hence very expensive

AhKoo, extractor alone you will definitely gain power and response but for overall, best to do the mid section till the back

Cheaper solution now would be Powerzone/Zenden extractors
Mid to end you can customize to your liking
