what atf grade u all usually change ya ? sp3 or D3 ? my wira 1.5 year 2001, vdo type

b4 this i usually get proton atf from local spart part shop, written is SPIII, but tak confident la is ori or not > <

so thinking wanna try other oil, such as eneos, but they only come with D3 grade...

i am having problems at my old wira again

1)some kind of 'klok klok klok' sound when i fully turned the steering to either left or right(eg: making a U-turn).

2)Second problem is very loud squeaky sound when i start my car during cold weather or drove thru a pool of water..

Can any sifu help me narrow down the area that i need to look into?

1) Driveshaft

2) Tensioner belt

Looks like long time never service.....

went i brake sometimes got "kreek kreek"..but my break still bite but quiet sometime this brake pad not change..is it bcause of brake pad?? can anyone suggest me any good brand for wira.. around RM100 - 150 less dust and bite..i saw in forum they said metal king and rapid stop quiet ok

this car also rear suspension really soft edi..normally bcause of spring or absorber??
if i just change 1 pair of it like change the absorber but used prev spring is it ok??
what range of price of spring n absorber for wira?? myb like apm,gab or myb other brand that also good...

1. you can refer to the car's firewall to check what engine it has..or snap a pic and all the sifus here might help u out..
2. Maybe the disc brake problem.
3. Bendix metal king titanium will do the job.
4. Yes, if your spring in good condition.
5. APM and Kayaba is OEM level..if you need better handling, you can go for GAB SA Series which price at RM500-RM600(not sure about this)
6. This is the learning stage, you might get conned..but you must pay to learn..you can go to those workshop your relatives or friends always go..

Your brake pad worn out ard. You might need to skims the disc if still got sound after change the pad coz the disc surface is damaged.

Soft means your spring soft ard. If just changed the abs might feels like solved the problem but the abs will spoilt very fast coz it have to hold the car weight instead of the springs. Good quality abs for rear is around RM100 perpiece, front around RM160-200 perpiece. Kayaba RS, APM Performax and Monroe is good quality abs, but APM Performax feel quite hard..

Regulare service is the key on maintaining your Wira at its best condition.... 1 year(excluding road tax, insurance and changing lube oil), you only need rm400-600 for your steering wheel service, brake system service and gear oil change....

just to share what i am using... front brake pads is Pumatec, RM135 (dunno kena chop or not), not much dust, bite is good, quiet...
Rear absorber is Sachs Super Touring (http://www.zf.com/brands/content/en/sachs/products_sachs/suspension_sachs/car_shock_absorbers/super_touring/super_touring.html)... RM85 per pair 2 years ago... firm and nice... suspension rubber mount changed to 1.5 inches one (dunno what's the correct name), and car bottom no longer hit bump even with 5 adults going through bump without brake... if u everyday on super heavy load, can use 2 inches one...
Monroe sensatrac is nice too if u have more budget...

weird why dunno the car is 1.3 or 1.5... can check the geran ah.... or roadtax...

just make sure the car suspension, brake and tyres are in good shape and use trusted brands, then at least safer....
