Previously when I used my 3GS, I am able to edit the carrier.plist and disable the "Call Forwarding" message.
However, when I tried using my iPhone 4, it doesn't work. Not sure why... hmm.gif

Download using the App Store from yr iPhone or iTunes.
But you need to create an iTune account first.

So does this mean i can just use the celcom as normal? No difference from if i use digi or maxis?

interesting, however the vendors could also think of this as an opportunity to replace the previous tax with profit margin, and teh overall price of handphones would be unaffected.

yup...i can agree with you bro. they (normal shop) might keep the price for their existing stock. but i dont think our telco C,D or M will do such thing coz they are not making a lot profit by selling the phone (1 time profit only), they r making profit by selling their services (data plan, call plan etc). some more, iphone4 stock is insufficient everywhere. so the upcoming new stock will be at a cheaper price. perhaps they`ll announce their new price soon..

i doubt so, there will be a huge backlash from customers whom are currently under contract, if anything they will only reduce the prices next time around when the Fifth iPhone revision hits the market here in Malaysia.

Iphone become sold out is not because Iphone is hit selling item around the world or whatsoever. it is due to they are facing high rejection ratio in foxconn (apple manufacturer@subcon). im working with manufacturing industry, i do understand the overall picture. some more, in order to save their budget, all the set is ship out from china via sea shipment, so it took few weeks to reach US, Europe or even Asia. Foxconn is also facing manpower issues in China, the worker now is demanding for high salary. Btw, fyi, the concept for EMS is very easy, APPLE will only buy finish goods which is in OK condition with an agreement price from Foxconn. Raw material price up@down/reject/ quality issues all will be handle by Foxconn. Easy right? same strategies used by Microsoft (Xbox), Nike. Sony Ericson and many more.

Back to the "lower price story", bro would you buy a proton saga with the price tag of 90K but the actual price is 45k? or buy a bottle of 1.5L coca cola at rm10 ? Consumer are not stupid. anyhow seller need to lower down their price. with a cheaper price, people will buy more or in other words, people will quite often change their phones. You must know that the handphone business profit is very small nowadays...too many competition...1 seller drop price..sure all will follow...especially in a big place like Digital mall & of course Lowyat plaza.

well, for me its a good move from our goverment coz it`ll benefits us all. as i mentioned earlier, just wait & c...

Dont give a car or coke as a example la bro. Not only proton la, city, vios, bmw, ferrari also same la.

Reality is, dont expect seller will reduce price bcoz of tax but bcoz market. Demand and supply rules here.

used celcom last time.. on 3gs and got the msg "call forwarding active"..

Actually, you have that in any phone you use with celcom I think. Use a nokia, they call it active divert - difference is the phone just flashes the message for a moment before disappearing. It's more on how OS 4 reacts with displaying messages.

Good for you. Yeah I guess it's because of that, now no voicemail but I hardly take advantage of that. There's always sms. Plus TBH I find voicemail annoying.

Oh dear god YES ! The worst ones are when you're dreading the phone ringing due to possible unwelcome calls (due to work) and when you do answer it you get a f***ing robot saying "Hi, this is a message from your mailbox". mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif Felt like choking the idiot who thought that this would be a GREAT idea.
