@sythersly my info was confirmed for a Dec 2010 launch. some clever people have been saying 15 Oct, some even 10 Oct (cos of 10/10/10) ...

I think the Dec date is conceivable, that gives Digi & Maxis around 8 weeks to grab the early adopters...

buying outright in SG & then signing up a data plan only increases the TCO. I did that with my iPhone3G, spent additional RM500 on data charges alone, but that was over a 1 year period.

eh bro what do you mean by increases the TCO? I thought i can simply buy a SG set, get the microsimcard & apply for the cheapest data plan (rm 38)..

my monthly commitment now is rm50 (exec50), so i thought i only need to pay rm 50 + 38/month..correct me if i am wrong..

@sythersly so you'll be paying RM88 for 2 years or more. what happens if in Dec, Celcom launches a RM88 plan? buy iPhone for RM1888 and RM88 for 2 years. how?
that would probably be for the full-speed (RM99 currently) data plan. your RM38 plan is just for 3G (384k) speed.

if u really gonna need/use the phone now, just buy it now

don't waste ur time play the waiting game

buy it if u really need it

if u can wait, then play the waiting game

only u can decide whether the extra savings that u could have been saved worth it not (justify ur needs/purpose)

if its happen on Dec, just terminate & subscribe it on Dec

who told you u need to subscribe celcom data plan for 2 years? (go whack his/her head, jk jk laugh.gif )

u can terminate the call plan (exec50) + the data plan (rm38/month) anytime

no contract what-so-damn-ever tied, call celcom's CS & ask wink.gif

i think better buy now la.... jump to M or D... coz like before they say, celcom will bring iphone 3gs.. but till now nothing happen.. if they have a plan to sell it why not put it official.. like put on website or make press release. This can avoid us to jump ship and wait till the offical lunch.

Why need to hide coz Celcom already know what other telco offer.

nope, certainly cant

tell u what, buy from SG

later, buy local iphone + contract

sell the local bought iphone rm100 cheaper than outright purchases option

its the same, either buy local save few hundred bucks

buy sg set, sell local set & gain profit few hundred bucks

in the end, its all up to u

just fyi, buying sg set, warranty got to there. so unless u can/will go to sg anytime you need the warranty, its better to buy it here, and some maxis center do sell iphone outright, no contract. if u deduct the diff, which is around rm 100, minus the gas and toll you need to pay whenever you want to go to sg just for the warranty, it kinda even out.

I'm 100% sure celcom will not launch IP4 this friday (15/10). in fact no business want to launch anything that day. It's a budget day. They'll rather wait for any announcement from the G before making their move, especially , on the news that G also plan to impose GST on smartphone.

Dec maybe? hahaha

I noticed that there are a lot of websites that gives you tutorial on creating(or perhaps cutting) your normal sim to a Micro sim. Anyone can give me a link or sites with realiable answer???? Tq

100% true n agreed !

if C really plans to launch Iphone, i think they should already advertise on their website like M and D done b4. this will prevent existing user jump ship n their competitor's user will then wait n see. unless their marketing team is operated by a moron......hahaha....

I'm using Celcom with Exec 250 plan right now. If I were to buy an Iphone 4 outright from EMachines (that comes with the Hotlink prepaid card), would I be able to plug in my Celcom sim card (once I change to microsim) into the Iphone 4 and use it with no problems?
